Based on knowing the product, we've decided to check out the newly opened outlet of Nando's on Davie Street in Vancouver. The restaurant is on the street level on a busy street, providing a good view of the passers-by, if that is your thing. Large windows bring in enough light in the otherwise somewhat darkly appointed interior. The only "beef" we had with ordering chicken was when we asked to have a regular salad replaced by ceasar salad (at cost) and the order taker wavered until put straight by a senior member of the crew. The chicken was up to our expectations - that is tasty, spicy and delivered as ordered. On the two occassions we went there we sat on the south side, which is a bit more private section with the only flaw of having washrooms around the corner (but you wouldn't notice unless you look for them). Speaking of washrooms, they were clean and nicely appointed, as everything in the restaurant. While Nando's is a fast food restaurant, it gives you a feel like you are in a full-service restaurant, even serving beer (which comes handy with all the spice). All in all, this outlet is as nice as any Nando's, even better since it is still brand new.
