I've been coming to Mi Bistro & Bar for about 3 years and the food has always been good. They are very close to my apartment so the location is really convenient. They've changed their menu around quite a bit, but I'm glad to see they've kept a few of my favourite items, such as the bouillabase, which is really good.

On the last visit, I had their 8oz New York Striploin Steak with garlic mashed potatoes, veggies, and peppercorn sauce. I chose to add prawns to the meal for an extra $3.00 (I think the steak is only $20 anyway) They have a coupon in the Entertainment Book, which made this meal an exceptional value.

The steak was cooked perfectly, everything was very tasty - especially the sauce. I'm a huge fan of peppercorn sauce and find many places just can't get it right. Mi Bistro did an amazing job and the whole meal was very enjoyable. The service was friendly and attentive. The ambiance was nice, and I'm surprised it wasn't busier, but I guess we were eating late.

I will definitely keep going back here.

A nice little place

Been here a couple of times with hubby and while not blown away, have always been reasonably pleased. Food is good but twice when hubby tried to order a certain burger, they were out. Oh well... try something else I suppose. Food has always come out the right temperature and is presented quite nicely too. Effort is certainly put into it and it's appreciated. We've had the steaks and they were a good size (even for hubby) and done exactly as we had requested them. A very nice beef dip too! They do a really lovely dessert with phyllo and fruit and cream... heavenly and even though I know I should share to ease on the calories, it's a toughie to give up even a fork-full.

For the cost of the meals, a decent value. We used an Entertainment coupon once and they gave us no fuss at all. Service with a smile and a "no problem at all". It's a smallish space and kinda dim, but enough light to see what's going on around you, watch sports on the screen above the bar, people watch or just relax and have a good meal.

Will we go back again. Yes. Solidly consistent and we'd be back for sure.

Quiet little bistro with delicious food.

I went here with a few colleagues this past summer and really enjoyed this quiet bistro.
I had a caesar salad and a salmon sandwich (cajun salmon sandwich I believe) which was delicious! The caesar salad was DELICIOUS! A bit heavy on the dressing but delicious none-the-less. The sandwich was interesting - very flavourful with a perfectly cooked piece of salmon.
The service was polite and courteous. I appreciated not being bothered every 5 minutes about our lunch (as TOO many restaurants often do these days).
The value was pretty good for lunch. I think I spent around $11 for the sandwich and salad.
The ambiance was nice. The place was fairly quiet and cozy which is nice when many other restaurants have music BLARING in your ears.
I'd definitely go to this place again if I was in the neighbourhood.
