Megabite Pizza serves up pizza made from fresh, never frozen ingredients.
I have walked pass this location many times, and wanting pizza, I decided to give it a shot. I was greeted by a friendly server, the pizza's were hot out of the oven and decided on the meat and Chicken pizza. The 2 pizza and can of pop came to $5.00 and decided to eat in.
I gather from being inside, they do mostly take out, and with a few tables they had, I noticed it wasn't very clean inside.
I tried both pizza's, they weren't too bad, the crust was crunchy and toppings were bountiful. I was full by the end of my meal, and when I return the next time, I'll order out.
Good spot when you want something to go.
Thought I would give this place a try today. I got a slice of the beef pizza (see photo at top). After having that, I wish I had got the pepperoni ! Not really the flavour I was looking for; I didnt really taste the pizza sauce - One thing that I really enjoy.
Won't order this again, but will go back to try something else.
Can't beat the price - $2.00
I'm happy they opened a megabite on granville for those of us who frequent the bars down there. Instead of having to wait the skytrain ride to commercial to get pizza, you can stumble out of the bar and find your way there sooner! The only complaint I have is that I don't think they have public washrooms, and it's so bright in there... it's hard on the eyes. The pizza is always good, always fresh. I'll probably start to gain weight because of this.
Megabite pizza has been around for more then ten years. They have wide selection unique Pizzas.
Last weekend, i was in granville st and drunk, i found my favorite pizza since childhood. i went in there and got a pepperoni slice and one of their chicken slice.Oh boy it was what a Pizza. after tasting the pizza, i'd have to rank it up there as the most delicious pizza in the city. You deserve it Megabite..
Seriously, they need to INTERVIEW people before hiring them to be cashiers. Today I came here, some woman who has heavy accent and spoke nearly-incomprehensible English was at the cashier. I ordered Lasagna+Garlic Cheese Sticks combo for $9.99. She input the two items as separate and told me it comes to total of $13. I had to remind her again it's a combo and the menu says the combo is $9.99. She looked confused and showed me on his monitor that the two items add up to $13. After she finally realized she messed up, I asked "does it come with a drink?", and her reply was "do you want a drink?". I mean, of course I want a drink! that's why I asked it... and it was a yes/no question, so answer it yes or no, NOT reply with another question! Anyway, after few minutes of waiting at a table, she yelled at me over the extremely loud music that's playing in the restaurant, asked me what sauce I want with the cheese sticks... Seriously, why ask me that? the sauce will be included in the box by the cook! I understand she could be a new worker, but really, at least try to be smart. Oh and, the boss of the place should never hire someone who goes on MSN Messenger while at the cashier. I could clearly see her MSN opening in the corner when she showed me her cashier monitor.
Have you tried their Spinach Rolls? What about their Specialty Pizzas? Oh boy, here I go again. Where do I begin? All I can say is that this place is the ultimate for those cravings you get when you just need something to fill you up and satisfy you.
Also, the price is perfect, nope...make that unbelievable. Always a deal that is perfect for the budget. They should be on one of those readers choice thing-a-ma-jiggs...whatever they're called. They definitely will get my vote.
We stayed close to this pizza joint and ate there a few times. Can get it by the slice or a whole pie. We noticed that there are a lot of pizza shops, but recommend this one. always 5 or 6 options by the slice, and when we ordered a whole pizza, was only 10 dollars and ready fast. There is "white sauce" or ranch available by pump, you don't have to ask for it. It's really good and most of the locals just put it right on top of the pizza.
The staff is friendly, good location, and good value.
They are many pizza by the slice places along Granville, but this one by far is the best. Always fresh, and a great selection of pizza with lots of toppings. I was with a friend who is Vegetarian, and he had five veggie selections to choose from. If you want fresh good tasting pizza this is the place to go! For cardboard pizza try the other places.
To preface, let me say that Megabite has the best pizza no matter what time of day it is. When my friends and I ordered from their 1005 Granville location this past time it did, however, happen to be on the later side of midnight. We've all stopped in for a late night slice on many occasions, but as this particular night wound down we were too tired/lazy/partied out to make the (relatively short) trek from my friend's apartment downtown.
But Megabite delivers! They're open late night, we love their pizza, and they'll bring it right the door even if it's 1:00am. Perfect. So we called them up and ordered the double decker deal (we did 2XL - their new Carnivore pizza is delicious, and a classic Hawaiian, which is always excellent. Oh, and the garlic dip. Can never forget that). For $30 that's a good amount of pizza. It arrived in short order, the driver was friendly, the pizza looked (and later tasted) great, and it was all fresh. Perfect way to end the evening! It's awesome to know that all Megabite locations do take out, delivery, and pizza by the slice.
I was in the mood for pizza one day and I thought I'd give this famous Megabite Pizza a shot.
I've heard a lot about this joint from my friends when I was studying a while back.
Honestly it is not much to look at but this is not the reason I'm here; I came for the pizza.
I was not disappointed at all. Their pizzas are absolutely filled with great toppings.
I'm a real pizza monster so I had 3 slices that day. These are pizzas I've never even heard of.
They are very innovative when it comes to pizzas. They have a very extensive list of toppings.
The best part about Megabite Pizza is that it feels like you owe them because their prices are
very affordable. Forget the dirty floors, I guess that's the trade off when you have so much
customers going in and out. Besides, I don't eat my food off the floor.
