Maple Grill is a west coast kosher kitchen that offers modern cuisine with a fusion of international flavors.
Not that the deli's aren't good - but Vancouver has really needed a venue for sit-down dining. The space is elegant but modest enough that you don't have to feel like you have to dress up for lunch. There's also a kids menu. All the options are a good value, considering the outrageous prices of Kosher meat in Vancouver. We were satisfied with the food quality and portions, and the server was gracious and kept an eye on the needs of the room - even when it got busy (there was only one server).
The service was amazing. Staff is polite and courteous at all times.
The food was excellent and served very promptly. There were several diners and I don't think anyone was waiting long for their food.
The maple salmon and vegetarian burger is highly recommended. Followed by chocolate mouse for dessert. The food is very tasty and filling.
The Maple Grill has a very eclectic atmosphere that is inviting and warm.
Everything is new and immaculately clean and tidy.
I made a reservation at Maple Grill for a business lunch on the recommendation of a designer friend of mine. I had no idea it existed and it was a delightful surprise. The exterior of the places belies the lovely, stylish interior and overall nice ambiance. Its really a little gem inside.
Lunch was pretty quiet but ideal for a business lunch and the food was healthy, tasty and fresh. What more do you want? I'm not Jewish, but if this is Kosher, bring it on!
However the food in this place is only half the equation -- Elaine, the owner is a pure delight and goregous. This is the type of young lady who you really want to see become a success. The crowd at lunch seemed pretty eclectic, almost what you might find in New York, uptown, and I can't wait to go back some evening and see what's up.
Such a refreshing change from the typical generic eateries like Cactus Club, Joeys and all those places which seem to be taking over. Truly an individual eatery with a sense of style, great food, delightful owner/hostess, great solid basics menu with a charming touch of Kosher healthfulness.
Blah! Sit is near work so we finally dropped in. The place was a sign of good things because it's a good area for food. HOW WRONG! They are cheap and that is why the community comes here. I don't think it is a great bargain given the lack of quality and spartan furnishings but I guess people will come for the $15 meals. There is no service or smile here just quantity.
