Luke's is a local place that focuses on good music, a well stocked and varied bar, interesting and quality food and a great vibe.
Was here on the weekend with a friend for dinner after the theatre.
My friend had the fish tacos and i had the risotto.
My friend really liked the tacos and her drink.
Unfortunately my risotto wasn't so good. It was basically brown rice with mushrooms and did not resemble any risotto i have had in the past. For this they charged around $15.00
Risotto needs to be made with high starch white rice that by stirring creates a creamy sauce. They really need to describe this dish differently-it is not risotto.
The flavour was good but it was so salty that my mouth and throat were actually burning from the salt afterwards.
The service was friendly and prompt.
Popped in here after doing some shopping on South Granville. Just had time for a quick craft beer, but had a great chat with the very engaging bartender, Natalie.
We loved the look and feel of the space - funky, elegant, interesting, welcoming. Wish we'd had time to eat, as their menu looked really diverse and interesting. We definitely plan on returning to try out more of this terrific place :)
Had a Friend tell me about a cool South Granville Spot that he takes his Wife for Brunch on the Weekends and he invited me for the Euro Soccer game last Sunday , Holy Great Prices ...
I had a few Double Caesars as they were on special Sunday for $ 5 and a Awesome Brunch , It was super busy for the game so we sat on the Huge Patio facing towards the Bar TV Screen ..
Service was awesome !! The girls were very casual but warm and welcoming , The Hostess gave us some free Appy Cards on the way out and we will definately be back !!!!
Great Times, Cheers Taylor
I live in the area and I have become bored with the big chains like Cactus and Earls. I come here because they are not pretentious. The food is great and the ingredients are locally sourced. There is a good selection of local beers as well. It aslo a fun spot to watch the game. It is a great addition to the neighborhood!
