Cosy brunch at the Lamp
By Damelza of Vancouver (2 Reviews)
Submitted Saturday, November 12, 2011 - 5:33pm [Dine in]

Six of us enjoyed our brunch - great burgers and fries, and all the rest was good too - salmon, braised short ribs and an omelette. I finally got to try waffles and chicken and really liked it. I wish there had been more chicken on the plate, but it's on the menu as a brunch item so I guess that's not the featured part. Good value and terrific service - our server Kayla was friendly, efficient and polite - even when one of us asked to take home about four french fries (for real).

Horrible eggs benedict
By Rasputin45 of Kitsilano, Vancouver (93 Reviews)
Submitted Thursday, April 21, 2011 - 10:45pm [Dine in]

We went here for a late brunch and beers after the Sun Run. I have never had worse eggs benedict in my life. The eggs were overcooked, and the sauce was NOT hollandaise sauce -- it was some kind of a yellowy mayo with a gross orangy SKIN on it. EWWW. The hash browns were good though, also my dining companion liked his sandwich, and the beer was cold so would give it another shot. But that sauce will seriously give me nightmares in years to come.

Amazing Poutine, Unfortunate Service
By wivesofwolves of Vancouver (Hastings-Sunrise) (5 Reviews)
Submitted Monday, January 30, 2012 - 1:30am [Dine in]

This is kind of a cheater review, considering the only thing I had was poutine-- but it was glorious. The price was steep, but it seemed worth it in the end. The ambiance of the place was typical for a pub/bar type place. It was kind of tight, but maybe it was just because I came on a busy night. The service was TERRIBLE. A server had told me and the people I was with that they were no longer serving food because it was late... When they actually still were. And when we figured out we could order, the server was really rather rude. This could be understandable though, as we were yelling our order to her and she may have misunderstood us, considering the surroundings were so loud... But I feel that it's sort of a given that we have to yell to give our orders because we don't have any other choice.

Overall, I'd go back. Can't stop thinking about the poutine now, hahaha.
