It's a bakery... so there's no ambiance!

Well, it's a chinese bakery. Everyone mills around the bakery counter, buys the buns and gets out. There's no seating or benches or whatnot - it's simply a Chinese bakery. They don't have beverages. Buy your bread - and go home. That's all there is to it.

They do make some fair-priced egg tarts - they have crispy shell egg tarts ($.50), and they have some flaky-shell egg tarts ($.70) - they do some fairly decent buns. Unlike the cocktail buns from Pine House, they actually have more bread and dough in the cocktail buns... Pine House buns have a hole in them, so there's not much of a bun structure.

They make a variety of pull-apart breads and other goodies. They're a solid Chinese bakery. You're not going to be "wow'ed" by new creations or such - as a Chinese bakery, you're not going to get new radical ideas for Chinese breads or pastries (like, say, Anna's Cake Shop.) All they focus on is just decent, solid good ol' Chinese breads and pastries - and for that, they're solid in that department.

Worth a try if you're in the area.
