A take-out and dine in sushi shop with cheap prices and big portions.
Ate 6 pcs of sushi and a large soup for 10$.
The sushi was extremely fresh and soup was really good.
The service was very nice too.
The place is small and very very simple. It doesn't have any style or chique but it has great sushi and great food for a great price.
I work by Jun Sushi and recently thought I would switch to using them as my regular sushi place, as I liked their selection and prices. I saw one of the specials on their chalkboard outside on my way to work one day and made a mental note to order it on my break later. When I phoned, they said yes, I could place an order for pick-up over the phone. But I couldn't remember the name of the special they had advertised on their chalkboard. I told the person on the phone that was the one I wanted, but she said there were different specials and needed to know which one. She refused to check the board to see which was advertised there, and refused to tell me what their specials were because they were too busy. She passed me to someone else, who said there were two different specials advertised on their board and I would have to come in person to tell them which one I wanted. I've never had someone refuse to tell me their specials before, and they should be glad they were too busy to tell me and don't value me as a customer, because I'll be one less pesky customer they have to deal with. I opted for my usual, overpriced sushi over the place that refused to tell me the specials.
*I rated their food quality only because I can't submit this review without filling all fields in. I can't honestly speak to their food quality though, because their poor customer service prevented me from eating there and trying their food in the first place. For all I know, the food is great. Their customer service is definitely not.
When you drive down Cambie, you might not notice this little sushi shop, cuz it's not that visible, but when you go in, there is a great selection of specialty sushi. And the specials are great. You can get filled with $5.95 with a selection of 6 kinds of sushi. There are many combos to choose from, and if none of the combos appeals to you, there's always the menu. It's a casual sushi in/take out place with a clean atmosphere.
