Excellent taps here, and while the food is nothing to rave about, its above average. The service is excellent, particularly at the bar, and the place has a friendly cheerful feel to it. I like the downtown urban eclecticism of it.
Quite apparent that food is a mere afterthought here. Not a bad place to have a brew and watch a game, but don't expect much else. Patchos (potato nachos) sounded like they might be good. They were not. Chicken strips came burnt. Service was practically non-existent so if you go, sit at the bar, and have a drink....but that's it.
You will not be wow'ed by the decor, unseasoned service or the fluent English. This place is simple and really AUTHENTIC pub food. My buddy's wife is Irish and, I have traveled to his home for his wife's food and for Irish food. This place is the real deal! I had roast with beef. The cheese was perfect, the roast was warm and lightly roasted and the beef-NOT ground beef-but rather wonderfully seasoned chopped steak. The value was GREAT. My date loved it. The only thing missing were more women, real draft Irish and green Irish beaches......9/10 on the food and price
