Well pretty much reverse everything I wrote in my review below... Things changed early in the summer, and the owner/server was MIA with a "bad back"...

After months of asking, we tricked the new girl into admitting that they were indeed sold...

Now the name is J's Family Restaurant...

The coffee sits unfilled, the eggs come hard no matter how much you specify "poached soft" or "over easy"... Fruit no longer consistently available (even though we would eat there a couple times a week and it would get ordered), english puffins hard as hockey pucks, then when sent back the new ones came out stale and untoasted...

There are mutterings from other regulars asking where the old owner/server are... We complained and the new girl knew how often we WERE in there, but although she tried a bit harder the fill the coffee cups, the food and service had declined too far for out likings.

They need to sort things out FAST, as they've lost a LARGE group of regulars...

Bottom line, this place is NEXT DOOR to my best friends place and we'd typically just walk over... Now we actually drive 3-5 min up to Commercial for decent breakfast...

Maybe one day we'll give it another shot for old times sake, but it's really a shame how things change sometimes.
