There are a couple coffee joints in the Market on Granville Island and this is my preferred choice. They have great espresso and their Americano's have a very tasty crema on the top. I will usually grab a coffee before I do some grocery shopping or maybe after a light snack in the food court. This is a great option for your caffeine fix.
I stopped by on a regular weekday morning. The place has a lineup but I didn't wait long. I bought a half pound bag of house blend coffee and was delighted when the cashier gave me a free cup. It was a nice and welcomed touch. The coffee tasted fresh and has good flavour. It had the right amount of intensity. I made some of the coffee at home it tasted very good. Of course, I only buy the whole beans and grind them just before brewing. It makes a lot of difference to getting fresh tasting coffee.
The line-ups can be very long but don't let that keep you from getting your americano or latte. JJ Bean serve one of the best cups of coffee around. Forget Starbucks, coffee here is made with great passion. Love it.
Generally not much to say about a coffee house as it competes with blenz coffee, waves coffee, starbucks coffee however, I would like to recommend the Iced Mocha that they serve. It runs quite smooth down your thoat. The other coffee is delicious especially the dark roast stuff. I would certainly recommend this coffee house to all others.
