This Japa Dog is the first restaurant style location. Japa Dog offers a creative and uniquely Japanese take on the classic hot dog. Sample the Terimayo which is smothered in Japanese mayo, nori, teriyaki sauce, and fried onions, the Oroshi is a bratwurst laden with special soy sauce, green onions, and daikon, Misomayo is turkey smokie laden with special miso sauce, Kaiware, and Japanese mayo and many more.
After being a loyal Japadog stand customer for years, I finally visited their storefront location and have been back several times. The store is usually packed, and the line goes out the door. However, getting a table isn't too difficult since most patrons tend to eat fast and hurry out. The only drawback is the location is tiny, so be ready to be bumped up next to those sitting beside you if you're dining in.
Onto the japadogs themselves - lots of selection in this bigger menu offering. The croquette japadog was great, although I think the croquettes would be better as sides by themselves or used as the bun. However, they were freshly made and very yummy. The fries were good but the star here is definitely the hotdogs.
Japadog has added many new types of hotdogs over time and I'm on a mission to try them all! Definitely recommended.
I tried Japadog for the first time. I ordered the the Terimayo dog, Japadogs Signature Hot Dog. Teriyaki sauce, japanese mayo, sauteed onion and seaweed make a very unique hotdog. It's really messy and you need alot of napkins to clean yourself up after. But i loved it. Absolutely the best dog i have ever had. We also tried a new addition to their menu, the Avocado. It has avocado ontop that is torched. It was very good aswell. I will have to go back and try every one of there dogs. Loved it!
$4.75 buckeroos for the Terimayo, $7.09 for the avocado . A little expensive for a hotdog, but these aren't your average regular dogs. As gourmet as a dog can get. Its worth the money.
The dining area is very small and cramped. You will definitely be bumped into if you are dining in. It was a little dirty, the tables don't get cleaned and are very small. But this isn't a fancy restaurant. Its Japadog!
