I've been here around 5 times in the past three years. The past year (2007) has been 'iffy' in the service department here as they seem to be understaffed. The food took a long time to arrive (40+ minutes) though we knew it wasn't the server's fault.
Atmosphere is nice; not fancy nor romantic but clean and presentable.
Food is always wonderful here. Samosa Garden down the street is a close second (as their buffet is never as fresh as kitchen-prepared dishes).
I will be coming back to Good Morning because of the food, however I will make sure I am not in 'rush' mode as a lot of Vancouverites seem to be when it comes to dining.
My gf and I decided to give this place a try because we wanted to see if the butter chicken was up to our standards. Well it wasnt great but it was decent. She had the butter chicken but she prefered the butter chicken from Samosa G. i had the chicken tikka. The tikka was not bad, it had all white meat chicken, a salad on the side, 2 gigantic pieces of naan bread and some raita which was good.
Sevice was ok, food was brought to us in a timely matter but the server was kinda weird, he threw the menus at us which caused water from our cups to spill. That was not cool accident or no accident.
It was not a fancy place, really casual almost cafeteria like but it did have 2 TV screens playing some indian music videos which was interesting.
Would we go back? maybe, since they do have some interesting things on their menu..
