Respectable eastside pub

This is the other restaurant my office likes to use to conduct office meetings. It's inside the Ramada and the main entrance is off Kingsway. From the outside it doesn't look like much, although the inside is also spartan in terms of look and feel. Though the decor could use some life its pub setting makes it feel comfortable. It is a clean and large space and you can scatter youself pretty much anywhere since patrons seem to be sparce throughout the day.

I've only had the chance to sample their breakfast/brunch menu and without exaggeration it is pretty decent, from the nicely cooked over easy eggs to the breakfast meats to the frozen variety hash browns. The orange juice, labelled fresh, was that, fresh...out of the carton.

Service is adequate; food is slow to come out, though the waitresses are mildly polite if not a bit timid.

Though it's decent enough I probably wouldn't venture here on my own accord.

Looks like a decent pub/restaurant, but looks can be deceiving!

We've gone in a couple of times as this pub is within walking distance, but we've left disappointed each time.

The food is standard pub fare, but is generally poor quality. Ordered pork bites, which we could not eat - some were undercooked, and the cooked ones tasted like they were a week old. Ew. Mr. B likes his beef dip, but this one was mediocre beef dip, chewy beef with not so good french fries. My side salad was soggy iceberg lettuce and shredded carrots - classy.

The server took forever to bring drinks, even though there were only a few tables we felt a little ignored.

Next time we'll keep on walking!
