Hub serves upscale casual food in a trendy, Yaletown setting. Formerly Brown's Socialhouse.
They do not have the same quality waitresses as Socialhouse but there were a few attractive ladies in short skirt dining there. The food at Hub Restaurant is fantastic. It is just that the 'entertainment' is missing.
I shared my positive experience with my co-workers. We are going to target December for a team outing again at this establishment. Without alcohol you will pay no more $25 per person.
With all the pricey restaurants that overshadow Yaletown it is refreshing to have a neighbourhood restaurant that offers good food at a price point that is not so hard on the pocket-book.
As noted the food was well prepared and presented. Service was very friendly. Was there for brunch and the music volume was very tolerable It still maintained a vibrant atmosphere without the deafening din of the chains like Earls and Cactus Club.
Really enjoyed my brunch. Will return for sure.
Great place to go and watch the game, to go for lunch sit on the patio and people watch, fun place to take friends to drink all night, excellent food to go for dinner or late night snack.
I have tried several items there and never been disappointed. Ive tried the bucket of shrimp, house salad, the tuna salad...all were great. My friends had the lobster wings, burgers and the mac and cheese and were all happy. The mojitos are super good as well!!!!
I had dinner during the week and the food and service was great. Lots of HD Televisions to watch hockey, baseball and soccer. The lobster wings were incredibly awesome. The Bazooki was fabulous, but more than I could eat by myself. The servers were very polite and efficient. I try to get to the Hub at least twice a month. I definitely would recommend the Hub for a fabulous meal in a casual atmosphere.
A friend and I went to go to Browns Pub for lunch the week before Christmas. Lucky for us it has changed hands to become Hub!
The staff are great, very helpful and cheerful.
The food... We shared Lobster Wings, a must have. We loved them. I had the crab mac and cheese and sorry can't remember what she had but it was all good.
Going back on Friday night... dreaming of Lobster Wings until then!
