After a disasterous outing at the Ningtu Restaurant I was walking to my car when I noticed the Happy Family Restaurant just a few stores east on the same block. What the heck let's give it a try. Looking over the menu we decided on the combo for 2. This is not your usual caucasian combo sweet and sour, chop suey, and fried rice. It's an oriental combo. 3 dishes comprised of a quarter chicken, large pork chop dish and gai lan with shimp and chicken. Also included was house soup, rice and dessert which was a tapioca pudding with taro. What a bargain. Glad I found this gem and definitely going back especially now that I was told there is a lobster special on now at $13.80 a pound. One door closes and another one opens.
