Located in Blood Alley, Gringo will offer affordable Mexi-Cali-style food and drinks in a vibrant and energetic space.
It's a tiny hole-in-the-wall. Gaudy but hip atmosphere. Good music playing. Staff is friendly. Beer is very cheap at $3.50 a pint. Tacos are decent, the shrimp were the better choice.
I liked the nachos with beef on top. I think it was $7.50 or so, which, while not a huge portion, is much less than everywhere else.
Food is better than Chronic or Mucho Burrito, but not as good as La Taqueria.
