I was cruising past the Superstore when I spotted this unpretentious little restaurant. It is near to a much larger Chinese place in the same mall. I noticed the sign out front said they have afternoon tea type foods available, so I pulled in for a light bite.
The restaurant is a family run joint and it looked clean. The prices were cheap, and the menu had all the usual favourites. After getting the usual cup of tea, I shared a big bowl of shrimp and pork dumpling soup and a couple of spring rolls with Mrs. Chasiubow. The dumplings and soup were very tasty and the spring rolls were hot and not geasy.
The staff were friendly and there was some Canto-pop playing softly from somewhere behind the counter. I experienced a zen moment of contentment as a tranquil warmth filled my belly and spread through my soul.
