Ordering cake? Beware!

I'd patronized Goldilocks on W Broadway near Granville before so when it was time to order a cake for my son's 3rd birthday, we went to the store on Main St as the Broadway store was undergoing renovations. My son picked out a Mickey Mouse design, we ordered the cake, and agreed on a pick up for a few days later. On my son's birthday, my wife showed up at the store and she waited and waited while they searched high and low trying to find the cake. This went on for 15mins and no one said anything to her until she asked and then they admitted that they couldn't find the cake. They did not even apologize until she told them that my son was due to cut his cake in 3 hours and received a pathetic apology. That's the last time we are ever going to patronize Goldilocks bakery.

Poor Customer Service

Everytime our relative come over from Washington or from the states we usually take them here. The usual comment is: "the food is expensive and poor customer service."

We use to order custom made cakes from Goldilocks and never had a good experience with them, our orders usually come 1 to 2 hours late.

I had enough last Sunday on my nephew's birthday. My wife ordered a 12x8 cake for $50.75 last August 4th, a 50 bucks cake with nothing on it except for his name and a picture of his favourite cartoon hero spiderman. Do you think that is cheap?

I came there to pick it up on the time and date stated on the order slip (August 9 @ 3:00 pm). When I handed it to the crew, she said it's not yet in and have to phone the supervisor. She hand me the phone and let me talk to the supervisor just to say that my order was miss placed and they have lost the order slip that's why they were not able to make the cake. My blood pressure begins to rise knowingly my wife phoned that morning to confirm the pickup at 3pm. The supervisor (Ann) asked me if they could just made a cake with the simple name and greetings and I have to wait about an hour and a half. I told her that she screwed up my nephews birthday party and the party is on going as we speak. To my surprise, she didn't even apologize for the hassle. This kind of system and management should not be tolerated, and I told my wife and all of our visitors not to order cake from this bakeshop anymore.
