Galley Patio is perched atop Locarno Beach at Jericho Park. Soak up the magnificent view on the patio while enjoying one of their local beers on tap.
The view from the deck is one of the best in the city and a bit of a locals secret. The food is basic pub like with self serve style. Had the chicken burger which was pretty good but price was a bit steep at $10 for this type of place. Can't beat the views with a beer or wine in the late afternoon.
Would probably go just for the drinks rather than the food.
It's the best view in town and that's about all.
On a hot summer day there is nothing better than grabbing a table at this place and drinking a cold bevy. The selection of beer is moderate, the food is slow, expensive and mediocre at best, and the place is packed all summer.
If you have a week day off head down in the afternoon before the crowds and enjoy the view and a pint, as it is the best view in Vancouver.
4 of us went there for some simple food with obviously no expectations.
It was the worst food we could have imagined. How can anyone ruin nachos?
They seem to have the secret. There is a difference between cost effective and cheap. They lean all the way over to cheap. There was the lightest dusting of cheese, 7 olives, about 6 pieces of diced onion and lots of hot peppers. The menu had a list of about 15 items on the nachos and we got 4 of them. Maybe they forgot. The guac was oily and I think it was bad, the salsa was of the worst I've ever had and the sour cream didn't really taste like sour cream. All I can say is I will never give them another dime and I'm happy to say it. This place has a great patio, I just wish they had at least average food.
