Fresh is a Japanese restaurant with takeout: sushi, sashimi, teriyaki, tempura.
Went by this place before a Canucks game. Located just by BC Place on the Yaletown side. No other restaurants in the immediate area so gave it a try. Ordered the tuna and salmon sashimi. Tuna was cut pretty big and was very good. Salmon (farmed) was cut in long slices and was just average. Had the sunomono salad and was good but could be a bit more vinegary. The chopped scallop roll was very good as well as the Alaska roll. Overall a half decent place with average prices (about $5 for regular rolls and $8+ for their special rolls). Service was fast and efficient. Small place with just basic decoration. Would come back.
i stopped by this restaurant last friday.
it's a small and very average looking japanese restaurant near bc stadium.
tried spicy tuna roll, tuna sashimi and red dynamite roll.
they were very average meaning not really good, but not bad also.. just like any other average sushi places.
price was also average.. not really expensive but not cheap.
to summarize, it was extremely average dining experience.
nothing to complain, but nothing to recommend either.
next time, i would go somewhere more spacious if the food and price are just average. (it's really tiny with only a few tables).
i mean there are about one million average-ish sushi places in vancouver anyway.
