Hi guys, I posted this review for my friend. She typed this out and sent it to me to post on Yelp.

I just wanted to share my experience with the staff and manager of this store. Well, I work near Bentall Mall and I eat there quite often during lunch hours. One day, after having lunch at Fresh, I decided to take a picture of the store front because my coworker had a hard time finding the place, so I thought it would be easier for her with a photo.

Well, as I took my cell phone out and was in the process of taking a picture, the employees shouted "Excuse me!! You can't take a picture!! You can't take a picture!!" One employee stormed off to the back and shouted at the manager "She's taking a picture!! She's taking a picture!!", which caused the manager to come out and have a talk to me. The manager then told me it was against Bentall Mall's policy to take pictures inside and that there was a concern with poaching in the downtown area.

I was extremely embarrassed and humiliated at this point in time because I know there were many people watching the staff and manager publicly humiliate me. I told the manager that I was trying to take a picture for my coworker because she had a hard time finding the place and that I was not doing anything wrong or bad and that I certainly was not poaching. She told me "it's one thing to give an address, and it's another to take a picture". Well, if she had been listening properly she would understand I did that because my coworker had a hard time with verbal instructions!!

Aside from Bentall Mall's policy, the staff and manager had no excuse for treating me like that and accusing me of doing something wrong or bad when I was trying to promote their business, not hinder it! They had no excuse for shouting at me and humiliating me in public. They were all unprofessional and they handled the situation extremely poorly. In the end, I was so embarrassed so I told the manager I was sorry and that I did not know the policy, so I could leave and not be humiliated any further.

I will never eat at this store ever again!
