So I decided to give this place a try because I had a 50% off coupon from the entertainment book, upon entering I was greeted by really friendly people who were willing to answer all my questions. I ordered a pretzel type bun for breakfast it had leeks, onions, potatoes and cheese it was really good. They don't have many tables I was lucky to get one that was available. They have so many pasteries, everything looked so fresh and mouthwatering. I will be coming back!
This is one of my favorite bakeries. I went in on saturday, one of their most busiest days, and picked up some turnovers and some cookies. Their apple turnovers were absolutely stunning and their little princess and smily cookies were so beautiful, my kids really enjoyed them. I am a frequent flyer at fratelli's and I really highly recommend this place to everyone with sweet tooths, you will not be disappointed. Everything is so fresh and yummy, and they are always busy!!! I wonder why?.. hehe. The staff are fratellis are amazing and always so helpful, especially the young ones, i think most of them have been there for a few years now... Keep up the good work Fratelli's, best bakery in BC!!
I ordered a St. Honore cake for my sister last week and it was sooo unbelievable!! The best I've ever had!!! I was able to order more puffs at a additional cost. It was sooo fresh and soo delicious! The other baked goods look just as delicious too.
Unfortunately, the lady that served us was sooooo unbelievablely slow. She was nice but took forever to box the cake, tie it up, ring our cake up plus the two tarts, the two cookies and a delicious olive bun.
Can't wait to go back there!
Ordered a Diplomat Birthday Cake over the weekend. I was told it is one of their more popular cakes next to the St. Honore cake. The cake was a boring plain white, no decorations, no colour, with the exception of the coloured lettering for "Happy Birthday", which looked more like a scribble. I've been more impressed by the writing on a Dairy Queen Cake. The cake itself was so dry, I couldn't tell if was "old" or just made that way. Price was reasonable $30.00 for an 8" compared to $40 for the same size at other places but I would much prefer to pay the higher cost for a much better cake!
I have only been here twice. Don't live in the area and so it takes a bit more effort to come here. And well worth the effort. One of the best bakerys in town and probably the best for Italian. Bread is very good and tasty. Carrot cake is really good.

This place has some great pastries - I'm especially fond of their ham and cheese croissants. Their coffee's nothing to write home about (go across the street to Continental), but I don't go there for that.
However, Fratelli's service is unbelievably bad, and I'm normally pretty tolerant about service. They're slow and they've screwed up our order pretty much every time we've been there. Today we were told they were out of something that was right there in the case (I guess someone else had ordered it? At least take it out and put it somewhere else!)
If their pastries weren't so good, the fact of their lousy service wouldn't be so tragic, but I'm still drawn (mostly by the croissants) to go back occasionally and remind myself why I swore it off the last time.
The best bakery in town. Amazing pastries and scones for breakfast, excellent bread and the only place in town where I will buy a cake - the St Honore is a fave. The large which serves 16 is only $28! Staff are always helpful and fast. Laura, the manager I think, recognizes people and is always smiling. If you are there at end of day they will likely have 2 for 1 on breads and pastries so you now they never sell day old. Fantastic place!
