The Flying Wedge Pizza Co. is an anomaly in the pizza industry. Unique and unexpected tastes & toppings make the Flying Wedge the place to go for a great pizza.
The office will sometimes do take out from them. I remember when their crust was way to thick and doughy so I refrained from eating there for a long time after but in the last year or so I started eating certain ones. I usually stick with the spicy chicken and the cheeseburger. The spicy chicken has a bit of a kick to it, maybe a hint of tobbasco like flavor? I find the meat lovers one just uses that cheap packaged deli meat you get at a supermarket so I hate that one. While the dough is much better than I remember, it's not as thick, it's still a bit doughy and I prefer white over whole wheat which is what they use.
Visited flying wedge in the food fair under the Waterfront hotel after eating at a restaurant upstairs from it because I was stil a bit hungry. Food and service were fine but I was shocked to pay almost $10 for a drink and a slice of pizza. Maybe I am use to the cheap pizza on Granville, Flying Wedge is sooo much better than Granville Street pizza but I was still shocked by the price. I wish Gastown would open some place for a cheap slice or if there is one I dont know about it.
