My buddy and I were looking for a hole in the wall to check out so we stopped in at Felicia's which is run by an older woman who may or may not be Italian. The interior of this restaurant is pretty random with various newspaper clippings and paintings on the wall and decor straight out of the 1970s. There was only one other patron inside at noon on a Saturday. We both ordered a cappuccino and the lunch special which was a tomato-based beef stew with gnocchi, salad and bread. The food was actually pretty good with the exception of the burnt garlic toast. However, when we received the bill, things went downhill. It was $40 including tip which is pretty steep for a lunch at a relatively run down East Hastings joint. I doubt I'll be back because I could have made the same meal at home several times for that price.
