The Factory is a bar on the Granville strip, formerly Wineo's. All food under 10 bucks.
Stopped in for a work lunch on a weekday. The place was relatively quiet, but the server was attentive.
I ordered the santa fe chicken sandwish with salad, and I had a taste of shared appys (lettuce wraps, and bbq chicken wings).
The food was reasonably good, as pub fare goes, and the price is certainly right.
Given that the restaurant was quiet, the wait for the food seemed rather long.
As for ambiance, it's a pub. It looks like any pub you'd see anywhere.
Came in on a Thursday night, seated right away at a table for two. It seemed pretty busy, it was loud but mostly with voices, the music was not too loud. Lots of small LCD TVs playing the hockey game from a pretty fuzzy signal. (Also it was the only time I've heard Metallica in a restaurant/bar.)
We ordered quickly but it took almost half an hour for our one cheeseburger to come. Also the martini came in a tumbler instead of a martini glass and wasn't very good. They did refill my pop pretty quickly without even being asked. Food: the cheeseburger seemed like a frozen patty from Costco or no-name store brand. It was cooked all the way but not hot. The fries were okay, seemed like they might even be twice-cooked, but they were probably better when they were hot (that is, long before they got to our table). We didn't have anything else after seeing the burger.
I never write reviews but this place was so bad I had to comment. By far the worst service I have ever experienced in Vancouver. The servers were downing shots and drinking beer at 2pm. The music was so loud it was like being in a night club, with terrible music. They wouldn't turn it down for us, so we didn't even wait for our food, we just paid for our drinks and left. As we were leaving we heard other tables complaining too. The server had a bad attitude, probably because she was drinking. I will never go back here and would not recommend this place to anyone.
This place is new, it is along the Granville strip and is owned by the same people that run the "famous" Warehouse. All the food is under 10 bucks. They have a 16 ounce steak for 9.95 or something. I had a 10 ounce Kobe Burger with a ton of fries for 8.95. It was pretty dank, way cheaper and just as good as anything else in the are. All in all I was surprised, good food, pretty cheap all things considered, nice bar, service was good. Check it out.
The food at The Factory on Granville is cheap. All items are under $10 with most of them priced at around $5.95. Food is ok, adequate & mediocre. You pay for what you get for $5.95. Drinks (beers) cost around 5.83+ & highballs starts from around $6+. There's a tub (garbage can tall) full of roasted peanuts. You can go up there & grab as much as you want whenever you want. So if you are allergic to peanuts, you shouldn't step foot into the bar.
We went with a group of friends for a birthday bash and each of the tables was served by a different server. They wouldn't let us order anything unless we were seated at our designated tables & ordered from the assigned server. It was pretty ridiculous as the tablese were one next to another and we were just standing around chatting with friends in our area. So even though the food is cheap, we are unlikely to go back there to avoid anymore of the nonsense service. Afterall, Nobody in their right mind would pay for mediocre food and the bad attitude abuse from any server.
I went there for lunch today with a few friends, the place is pretty cool when you walk in, The first thing we noticed, was the peanut shells on the ground and the big wood barrel that held uneaten shells. When at this restaurant it is customary to eat the peanuts and throw the shells on the ground, I thought it was pretty cool as i haven't seen that before at a pub. The food was pretty awesome i ordered the perogies($5.95), which i at first i thought were pretty good, but when I received my Stuffed Portabello Mushroom side, it seemed dwarfed in comparison. The mushroom was spectacular and extremely good value at $3.50. In the end, we got the bill paid out the waiter, and i actually left my wallet at the pub. I called them when i got home in burnaby, and they had found it, gotta love honest bartenders :)
thanks a lot.
