I went to Euro Deli and Market the other day, and i experienced, one of the most fantastic meals ive had in a long time, the home made Chicken donair served on soft yet crispy peta bread made me have dreams over night about this meal i had today. The price was not to high and not to low , for a meal like this i had expected more of a bigger pay check rather than only 5.99! the chicken donair was amazing, at lunch time i came in seeing all the costumers i knew this restaurant was one of the best restaurant in the location. I asked the owners about doing some catering that they did because i myself had worked at a building and i was expecting a very high price ! but man was i wrong, they had a very good catering price also , and the food was fantastic, go and try euro Deli and Market! you wont regret it! 10/10
I eat here a lot, or used to. The owners have changed three times within a few years, and these latest ones will run it to the ground if they don't smarten up!
The only reason I come here is because it is convenient. If this place had any competition, it would not be in business!
The food is mediocre. I worry lately about the freshness - bread is sometimes stale. The prices are too high. And they can NEVER get my order right!! It is not complicated .. i'm just asking for none of one thing and one of another!
The food is really hit and miss..you never know what your going to get.
No more chances, I will walk further just to enjoy my meal without feeling angry when i am eating it.
Great sandwiches and hot lunches for reasonable dollars. I usually have the Zeus wrap, or Hercules Platter. The sandwiches are enormous, and this place is always busy during the lunch rush. Very flavorful chicken, and the owner and staff are always friendly. Lots to choose from on the menu, and made the way you want it. Good selection of beverages and deli items as well.
Been here several times, haven't had bad experiences. The people who work here are friendly, usually the same staff. They're usually busy during lunchtime.
I've had the vegetarian sub and sandwich. The sandwich one was on foccacia bread.. or whatever it's called. This one was definitely more tasty than the sub version, but is much smaller in portion size. The pesto mayo in it is really good. I got the italian sub for my boyfriend once. He said it was really bland, so I'm not too sure, that's why I only gave it a 3.
The owner is super friendly, I accidentally walked into the store when it was closed for renovations and he made me the sandwich anyways and thanked me for coming.
I gave it a 4 for value cause they definitely put an effort into the quality of the foods. Their veggies are fresh and the bread is really good too. No worries about it being a day old or whatever. And it's cheaper than your local Subway.
Recommended. I'll be back for another sub, it serves as both lunch and dinner, hahaha.
If you're stuck in a rut on what to have for lunch, you should give this place a try. It's right on the corner of Boundary and Kingsway, very easy to get to and there's usually plenty of parking.
Euro Deli offers a huge variety of sandwiches with specials like England-Big Ben, Spain-Matador, Italian-Coliseum and so on. Apart from deli sandwiches, they also offer donair and well as little market items like European candies and drinks.
I ordered the Greek Hercules Plate. For $6.99, I got greek salad, pita, rice and donair chicken topped with tzatziki and hot sauce. Made me the envy of the office lunchroom and left me satisfyingly full.
Service was quick, efficient and friendly. The whole restaurant was bright and looked really clean.
I'd definitely return (quite soon) for some anything!
I've eaten here a few times and the food is always tasty and the portions are huge. I've tried a few of the wraps, subs and donairs. The Hercules wrap is so big I usually take 1/2 of it home for lunch the next day. The staff are friendly and gladly make suggestions if you aren't sure what to order. They have a large selection of imported sodas and drinks to try- the jamaican-style ginger beer is a good one. The space is always clean, but the decor is dated- the food more than makes up for it though, with good value.
Few years ago I heard great things, was in the neighbourhood recentlyt and thought it was time to try it. Perhaps I was hungry, had high expectations, or it was an off day. But I found my sandwhich lackiing size. The meats were not stack relatively high and there were minimal amounts of vegetables on what seened to me a small foccacia. Given it was a $7 sandwhich, I have had better and grander at other deli's. Unfortunate because I was hoping for something I would go back to again and again.
I had a meeting at Telus which has their big offices across the street and the person I was meeting recommended we go across the street for lunch. It was a casual place and the cashier who i think was the owner was a helpfull friendly guy and the people working there seemed very happy. I ordered a Grilled sandwich called the Spain Matador and it was very large and spicy as i was told it would be. I also had the soup which was a creamy vegetable that day. I was very satisfied and full and the soup and sandwich was under $10.00
