Elliz is a coffee house with light meals.
So you need a bit of a snack? A coffee or tea? Why not try this place? It's pretty much a standard coffee house, much like the omnipresent Starbuck's, but unlike those guys, you can get a pretty decent meal here, including fresh made soups.
We stopped by to sample their soups and daily meal specials and breakfast. The owner/chef is exceedingly friendly and helpful. Just perfect for a neighbourhood joint. The breakfast was pretty loaded, with pancakes, eggs, bacon, sausage, etc. It was pretty decent, even the sausage wasn't too fatty like other places. We also hit lunch with some fish 'n chips and a soup. The fish 'n chips were kind of a miss (though presentation was nice), but for the price, I'll give it a passing grade, it came in under $6. The fish was fresh and good, but it just wasn't well fried.
The summary? A nice little neighbourhood cafe. It would be perfect to drop by for breakfast or a workday lunch. However, not worth the trip as there isn't anything outstanding or special.
