The Dover is a smallish pub on Denman in the West End serving standard pub fare.
I have stopped here a couple times for a quick beer and some pub grub. The beer is what you would expect. There is usually some sort of special but even if there isn't, its not expensive. The food is descent, not great. They serve typical pub fare including burgers, sandwiches, wings, etc. The service is good. There are lots of televisions on every wall so if you are looking for a spot to watch the game and not spend a lot of money, this would be a good choice. Its not usually super busy either.
After wandering down Denman Street my buddy and I decided to try the DOVER ARMS PUB. They were having a steak & prawn stecial for $13. It was great food at a great price. Our server was very nice as well. The only drawback was HOW LOUD IT WAS. I mean, I love a good sports bar as much as the next guy but it was ear-splittingly loud. With 6 TV sets in the place it didn't have to be at such a high decible level. Other than that I really like the place.
