Irish pub/grill in Point Grey.
As an international student at UBC, I was looking for a place of home comfort, while still giving me a sense of culture within a great city like Vancouver. I quickly found Dentrys to be the best of both worlds. With an excellently friendly serving staff, this Irish pub quickly gained my trust as a regular customer.
If you are new to this rainy city and looking for a midweek escape from your busy life, I highly recommend coming to this Irish escape for its Wednesday night wings special. They combine excellent service with cheap drinks and wings, and they do not disappoint. The owner is often seen around the pub, whether its behind the bar or in the kitchen. One server stands out in particular for her friendly smile and good demeanor.
No matter what, I recommend coming in for a drink, whether it be to de-stress, or to have a party with friends.
I read the posting I left here quite a while ago about this place.
Now I'm laughing...
We went on a weekend night a week or two ago...
At 11pm, they pushed all the customers out, put up the chairs, and actually came over to our table and ASKED US TO LEAVE, though we'd only received our food from the kitchen a half-hour before.
The reason? The very apologetic server (who was good, by the way) said the manager was feeling sick and needed to go home early.
