I order take-out from Dallas Pizza on a regular basis. Ham and pineapple pizza tastes great, and my girlfriend loves the feta and onion. Service is reasonably fast and friendly, and the price is great! Love the take-out specials; thanks for the meals Dallas! Never tried the delivery, but I have no complaints about the food.
Well, I have been ordering food for delivery for 15 years now and this is the worst delivery experience I ever had. I ordered their souvlaki with ceasar salad. It took like 3 hours for the order to come in and the delivery person was rude, when I did not give a tip, the delivery person almost got into a fistfight with me and I almost took the guy down. Food was OK but they forgot the garlic bread. My recomendation, DO NOT ORDER FOOD FROM THESE GUYS.
Had delivery here on a Monday night. Ordered one medium hawaiian with extra pineapple & was told it would take up to 45 min for delivery. I believe the pizza arrived about 20 mins later. Opened up the box & it looked so yummy! It was piping hot & loaded with pineapple. The first bite did not disappoint!! Everything had amazing flavor & they were extremely generous with toppings. This is my new favorite East side pizza joint!
I rated ambiance a 1 as it's not the nicest place to have a sit-down meal, but it's great for take-out or delivery.
The previous poster is incorrect, Dallas is still open on Broadway, they closed their other restaurant on Commercial Drive.
I've been going to this little hole in the wall for years for their lamb souvlaki which imho is quite good. I've had quite a good roast lamb dinner from this take out joint as well. Dallas is a small take out place that has a few small tables to sit and down your take out dinner if you can't wait to take it home, their is no ambiance other than being in a slightly colourful part of town but for quick and fairly cheap for what you get I rate their lamb highly.
When Dallas Pizza opened on Broadway years ago, that was the place to go for great 2-f0r-1 pizza. I recently ordered from them thinking it was how I remembered it and to my dismay it was not. As much as they say, it’s 2-for-1, it’s not. The second pizza is discounted by a few dollars depending on the size.
I ordered a regular cheese and meat pizza which took forever to arrive as the delivery man got lost. The pizza was average, definitely the worst pizza and now where near the best.
I guess I was just disappointed as it was not as I remembered it. Let’s put it this way, if you have no other options for pizza then I suppose this would be your best bet.
First, the good: I ordered for delivery at about 1:30 a.m., during the Olympics. The person who took my order was pleasant, as was the man who delivered the pies. Delivery took about 40 minutes.
The bad: 2 medium pies, which cost about $25 ... and a lot of it went to waste, because they didn't taste so good. The bacon & mushroom: REALLY salty. The ham & pineapple: nasty. The sauce isn't good, and almost an entire pizza was thrown out.
I really like Dallas' food but recently i ordered take out from them.. and after 40 minutes i get a call from a girl across town saying that our food was dropped off at her house but they were on their way back to get it and correct the situation. So i call Dallas and explain to them that i want new food; that mine has been sitting in a strangers house etc [gross right?] So they say o yes for sure and you only pay half price. But 10 minutes later our 'new' food shows up at our door and they want us to pay full price. So if it took 45 minutes the first time this is definitely not new food.I can get souvlaki anywhere! Screw that!
Thankfully, this restaurant, which varied between excellent at the beginning, and completely grim at the end, is now closed. A new restaurant, which promises to be good, will take its place. Woo hoo!
