I normally go eat at a sushi place a few doors down but there was a line up and I didn't feel like sushi. So I tried this place out. Busy, lots of Koreans as customers, good sign. Ordered, took a menu for the future (likely was coming back for another $6-7 lunch). Sat down with the counter behind me and facing the door. A few minutes later, while waiting for my food, I saw a little black mouse coming from the garbage can near the door to the counter right behind me. I lifted by eye to see if others had seen it and the four other tables had seen the same thing. Speechless. In looking at the VCH health reports, it seems that places around there have infestations problems. I managed to eat my food when it arrived (hey, mice are mammals and sometimes I feel like a mouse....). But my appetite wasn't as strong as it was when I first came in. The health inspectors called back saying they were well aware of the place. Gave them the details and hope this place cleans up its act. I would have gone back but I don't know if I ever will now. Too bad, the food was good for the price BTW The official name of the restaurant is "Submore Cafe", I don't think the Korean name is being used officially except on the menues and signs. It's either the english name (like my Korean friend "David" or it's just a reused name from the previous business. The health reports do mention they don't service pizzas anymore.
