Cinco Estrelas serves great authentic portuguese food in combination with a canadian menu, in a friendly atmosphere,
surrounded by picturesque portuguese postcards and soccer memorabilia.
Portuguese food! Cinco Estrelas - By far THE BEST pork and clams and steaks for under 20 bucks...plus homemade desserts and soups and just the owner and his wife work there.
Try the Beef madallions with the Round loonie shaped Fries...SOOO GOOD! or the Chicken Madeira with mushroom sauce....YUM
Deffinately afforable authentic food for sure!
Food: Have had breakfast/hash browns, spaghetti/meatballs, pork/clams, portuguese steak, fillet of sole, calamari, sardines, all of which were excellent. Excellent coffee, and alcohol menu.
Service: Professionally gracious, efficient, and friendly.
Ambience: Dine within picturesque Portuguese postcards, keep up with current events, and upgrade your soccer IQ here. There is also an entertainment TV, with both live and taped programs, which will most likely be glued to the world cup 2006 channel, during the upcoming summer.
The place is small, clean, but the layout and all the junk in the wall makes it a not so hot ambience. The good is average, you add alcholoe and disert or 2 and you will ealsy get your dinner up to 70-80$. Not sure if I would say this is the best Portuguese restaurant in town. Defenly home made foods, with a touch of Portugal. Try the Beaf a Portuguesa always a hot one…
