Checkers has been my "old stand-by" when I can't think of what I want to eat. I somehow always end up here. The food is really good, the steak especially. The stuffed mushorrm caps are excellent to. Staff is always polite and attentive. They also have great daily specials too. [Burger & brew $9.99]
We have breakfast here almost every Sunday, notwithstanding our various forays to other breakfast joints in the area for testing purposes. None compare so far to Checkers! The hollandaise sauce is the best in Vancouver! The portions of all breakfast items are HUGE! Coffee refills and ice water refills without asking! Great service with a smile. The eggs benedict, the 'mexican' breakfast with it's perfectly rolled and toasted tortilla and great salsa, the croissant scramble, the steak and eggs, and the wonderful home fries (no cheap icky hashbrowns here!) are just some of the wonderful selections available. Everything is fantastic and again, the portions are huge and the coffee is never ending and tastes great. The best breakfast in the west end is here folks!
