Great imported drafts and onion rings

I've never been to a Ceili's Irish Pub before and a bunch of the guys planned to meet there for dinner before the Caps game so I went online to check it out. The beer menu looked pricey but outstanding with some nice UK beers on tap so I was sold. Reviews for other Ceili's seemed to trash the food so I was wary about what to eat.

Got off the bus parched so I started off with a London Pride, a hoppy bitter style beer ($7.50) that was crisp and refreshing but served way too cold to enjoy all the nuances. Ordered a steak sandwich ($16) with black and white onion rings. Steak came perfectly cooked medium rare on a bit-too-chewy toasted baguette. The rings were outstanding, crisp and not greasy, lightly drizzled with a stout reduction. To celebrate, I ordered an Innis & Gunn ($7.50), a Scottish brew aged in oak barrels. mellow and rich with fruity after flavours....delish. For dessert I had to have a Guiness to complete my UK trio.

The decor is "North American Irish Pubby" if you know what I mean. And I hardly noticed the attractive and attentive waitresses in very short tartan skirts with cleavage pleasing black tops......

I ordered the most expensive draft beers on the menu so the bill reflected that but I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food at the Kits location. I'm drooling a bit just thinking about the rings. I'm going back soon.
