A Good Place for Tea

My boyfriend and I enjoyed the cheese fondue and our teas. The ambiance is clean and contemporary and the male waiter was nice enough. True, it was a bit overpriced, but I knew what I was ordering and I wasn't expecting a meal, just afternoon tea and snacks. I don't think this place deserves a 1-star rating for the fondue just because it can be done at home. I would go again for the tea at least.

Finally tried it. In a nutshell, this place is horrible. Sure it LOOKS like a cool place to chat and dine with your friends, but be careful because looks are deceiving. I had to wait 20 minutes to order my pricy drink and the all you can eat fondue. I ordered a fresh fruit mango bubble tea but what I received was terrible. I watched them make it and what was put into my drink was 1 tiny mango slice and the rest of the blender was filled up with ice. Then, after they made it, I waited another 10 minutes to be served my drink. I tasted it, and of course, it tasted horrible. I asked kindly for a refund, but was not given one because they said I drank too much of it, when I only took a sip. As for the fondue, my friends who have tried it before said that it was better when they initially started their business. Now the fondue tastes not light with pungently strong chocolate, but heavy and chalky, like they use cheap chocolate but try to cover it up with a lot of fat. Sure try this place if you want poor service and down right disgusting food.

Girls Night Out

The best service I have had in a long time. New management has begun beginning-mid this year and the new manager "Bill" is a great, professional, and super friendly guy. The manager is active and not letting all his workers do the work. The food was amazing, we spent 2 hours in here being loud and accidentally breaking and spilling some stuff, but they were super understanding. The new manager also gave us some freebies and made amaaaazing macarons, LOVED THEM, I wish I could come back for them but I dont even know if they were on the menu. My friends and I came here for a girls night out and it was so worth it, with or without a groupon. During the weekends, theres some pretty good looking guys working too, which is always a plus. New management has changed up a lot and it's going to get more and more busy in here so make sure you get a reservation. Definitely worth checking out (:

Wow - did Capstone go under new management? The mean Asian lady was no longer there. We walked in today with fantastic service! Was so blown away. I only go there because of the Groupon deal, but now I'm thinking I would go back more often. I hope it is under new management as I loved what I saw today. We had two main servers helping us today and both of them were amazingly nice.
I have been on mediocre terms with this place before, but this time REALLY blew me away. If this service keeps up, I definitely recommend everyone to go!

I just went to Capstone Tea and Fondue a few days ago for my birthday with a few friends. The first thing we ordered was the bubble tea. The bubble tea was not that great at all esp. for its value (about $5) . I ordered the mango slush with pearl and it tasted bland. I do not reccomend the bubble tea. Then our chocolate fondue arrived. The chocolate was a bit watered down but OKAY. Everything was fresh. The ice cream balls I did not like because they were too hard and cold and not at all ice cream- like. I was dissapointed at the value. I think they should serve more with the chocolate as there was a lot of chocolate left over. My friends and I then tried the cheese fondue sampler. I love the cheese they use in the fondue. It was hot and delicious. The waiters were very friendly and deserved a 20 % tip. Overall I give my experiance at Capstone a 5.5/10.

Capstone left a lot to be desired in my experience. The food was very expensive for what it was, which was very basic stuff; Standard fondue, standard bubble tea, etc. You could have little health options put in, but they charged you more for them (and it was expensive enough as it was). I was severely disappointed at the service here, as they'd messed up my and my friends' orders several times- then blamed US for THEIR mistake. The waiter stood by our table and right-out accused us of ordering things we didn't, it was horrible! Unfriendly service, by the time it was over they overcharged some of us and charged us for things we did not buy (and the prices were high enough as they were for what it was). They seemed to be very, very paranoid about being cheated out somehow, it was very offensive. I felt more like I was being monitored and interrogated while I was trying to enjoy a good time with friends. As for the interior, it's clean and crisp and modern, but the modern feel makes it less cozy, I find.
Not going back. Don't recommend. It would be cheaper and more comfortable to just melt cheese or chocolate at home (or just buy yourself a pack of Dunkaroos).

this place is amazing. i love the people that work there. so cool. and lets not forget the food. the chocolate was so good, and i highly recommend the $1.00 extra for the ice cream fondue. so good. and the bubble tea i suggest mango pineapple with all toppings. what anyone else says, they're idiots. i was there today and last week, and the service is great, takes about 5 minutes for the fondue to be ready, but considering the presentation its great.

This is my first time visting this place, I am from Burnaby. My friends and I walked past this place and was attracted to their interior and their all-u-can eat chocolate fondue ad. They have a whole wall in white, with white letterings of the names of their teas, very nice. Two of my friends ordered the 'Ice cream chocolate fondue' and the rest of us had the 'all-u-can-eat chocolate fondue' which was $7.95 per person when you order a drink. There was an assortment of fresh fruits and snacks to dip.
Too bad they don't have white chocolate, but both of the fondues were good. I loved the dark chocolate! It was soooooo good! They serve good quality belgian chocolate.

We each ordered a drink, I had the Japanese genmaicha green milk tea. The milk tea actually has tea flavour in it! It had a good tea aroma. I went over to the bar to see how they make it. They were brewing loose leaf tea bags individually in a big espresso-like machine for each of our drinks. I thought that was very good, my drink was made fresh, NOT with tea that has been sitting for a whole day! We had a great time there, and will go back next time to try their other drinks and their cheese fondue.
