The Caprice Lounge & Grill features a large patio that runs along busy Granville Street. Choose from snacks such as pizza, sandwiches and burgers, to inventive, full-flavoured appetizers like ahi tuna, vegetarian spring rolls and chicken or chorizo quesadillas. For the full-meal-deal, New York steaks, homemade lasagna, black tiger prawns, pasta and vegetarian stir-frys will satisfy any palate.
I went here for a friends Bday before clubbing, and it has a distinctively feminine ambiance to it. Sadly, I'm a guy, so that didn't work well for me. It was actually pretty quiet there, but they have an in-house DJ, a small but hip-looking bar, and an upbeat staff serving simple dishes like sliders (my choice). They'll also mix some nice drinks for the bar, but the main attraction is a chill place to get ready to hit up the rest of Granville.
Previously known as Lux, just in case anyone was wondering if this place is indeed one and the same. Oh, and get ready for a LOT of pink floodlighting. A lot.
based on only one visit I don't feel well-qualified to comment on food quality. What I had I found perfectly adequate. The service was generally very conscientious with only hints of youthful insouciance. I thought the space was very attractive and intend to revisit.
