Beautiful setting, good americano

Caffe Cittadella is only a couple blocks from my house and I noticed they were finally open after completing renovations. I was in need of an afternoon dose of caffeine so I ordered an americano. It was pretty solid: nice crema, good flavour and not bitter.

The ambiance is fantastic with two levels and set in an old, character house. They have a northwest facing patio overlooking a large yard and garden so you can enjoy an espresso drink in a tranquil environment smack in the middle of the bustle of the city. I will return.

Great place for caffe and panini

I came here for lunch one day, cool place with seating inside and outdoors also. I ordered the turkey panino which was perfectly grilled, had some good flavors inside and drizzled with a balsamic glaze. Very good and even came with a nice slightly spicy dip. After the sandwich I had a cappuccino and biscotti. Both were great. They definitely know what they're doing at Caffe Cittadella Espresso Bar & Bistro. I will be back.

Paninos are great. Soup is great too.

It is located in a heritage building and pretty close to my office. It is in a serene neighbourhood. There are 2 small tables for alfresco dining. They have about 5-6 variety of paninis and ham & chesse crossiant. I have been there twice during lunchtime and once in the morning to pick up a brewed coffee.

I had their Turkey Panino $7+ , Corn Chowder and Coconut Thai soup. I cant remember the other panini I had. They were all great. The brewed coffee is average compared to Elysian Coffee (just 2 blocks away from them). It does take a while to grill the panino, so some waiting is required.

A colleague tried their blueberry muffin one morning and commented that there was no blueberries in it.

I will definitely be back there again to support local small businesses.
