The Cactus Club has over 20 locations in BC and Alberta and features an eclectic menu selection that includes steaks, rice bowls, dinner sized salads and more. This location is the flagship location featuring private dining space and a 200 seat patio.
I don't come down to the convention centre area often but I happened to be there to meet some colleagues so we ended up at the new Cactus Club in Coal Harbour. According to their inspection report, the capacity for this place is 750 seats which is no surprise because it is HUGE.
The space is impressive from what I could see from the outside. We already had a table outside on the patio so I didn't get to look around much from within. They state on their website that the menu has been exclusively crafted for this location but it looked like all the usual Cactus Club suspects. I ordered the grilled tuna which is served on a ciabatta bun and it was great.
You are always going to get good, consistant food at any Cactus location. There was a time when their steaks were one of the best values in town but they have raised their prices since then. They pretty much charge the maximum amount they can for the food.
Overall it was a good experience but I also didn't pay for the bill which worked out to about $40 per person which is not cheap for lunch.
