Went here for a dessert and coffee.
The sign at the front advised to "wait to be seated" - I just proceeded in to check out the counter (where items were displayed behind glass and where I could see the prices listed overhead). I ordered a maple bacon macaron ($2.00), a vanilla bean macaron ($2) and an americano coffee ($2 and change).
The counterperson was friendly and professional.
I sat down and my items were delivered to me.
First, the negative - the Americano wasn't very good. I found it too strong and did not have a creama. When I make an Americano at home - it is more mellow and has a nice creama.
Also, this strong coffee obliterated the delicate taste of the macarons.
However, the macarons themselves were very, very tasty. Probably the best I could expect.
I ended up buying two boxes of the maple bacon for gifts. Which brings me to another negative - the box says "macarons x eight" - however, only seven would fit in. I was only charged for seven, but I had to explain to the recepients that I did not eat one of their macarons nor did the store make a mistake. LOL. They MIGHT want to change the writing on the box and just fill the box with however many will fit and charge accordingly. :)
I would go again, maybe to try another flavour of macaron or maybe try another pastery. However, I would have one of their special blended teas as a go with so that I can enjoy the flavours better.
I had lunch here with my father, I ate the pulled chicken sandwich with a small chicken soup.
The food was good 4/5 no complaints there, I do think it was a little over priced though for what I got and the portion size.
For dessert I had the chocolate raspberry vanilla and a cappuccino. The cappuccino was decent and the dessert was great, it was very similar to a dessert I enjoy at another dessert place that I frequent (T.H)
