I can't believe how greedy the owner is during the Olympics!! Today I went there for my favorite Thursday lunch special - Pulled Pork Sandwich. My jaw dropped when I saw the insanely inflated prices - all their regular $6.50 daily lunch specials had been jacked up by $2.50 to $3.00. My sandwich now costs $8.95 + tax ($9.40). When I asked the cashier (the female owner) what's the deal with the crazy price increase and she told me that is their regular price. I told her that I've been eating there on a regular basis (which is why I know what their daily specials are) for the last 2 months and I know how much the daily special costs.
I paid for my overpriced sandwich and left. When I went back to my office, I ate my sandwich (it was still good but I wouldn't pay $9.40 for it) then I asked all my colleagues to boycott the place and they all agreed. Smart move Greedy Owner, let's see how much business you are going to get now. I am sure you will generate more business for the Subway next door.
I pick up my coffee for home here, but sometimes get lunch here too.
Most of the staff are great, the owners are very friendly, and the breakfast burrito is the best thing in the world.
The soups I've tried have also been very good, tasting more home-made and authentic than most cafes you might stop into.
