I was passing by on broadway when I discovered this quaint little cafe. They didn't have what I wanted ... Black sesame milk tea with pearls; however, I got instead the bestest almond milk. Bubble I've ever tasted. Worth a trip just for that. Ambience and service was appropriate but the lady that served me seemed quite bored and a little unprofessional... Surfing the net while waiting for the next customer... Anyhow, that's not the point of this review.
I'll preface this by saying I have not actually eaten/ordered from Barista Cafe, but felt the need to reply to their obvious self-promotion in the review below mine. This place is wannabe modern/trendy/Starbucksish, but fails by a fair margin. Tacky bright signs and by the looks of things has ripped off Starbucks menu style (order tall, grande or venti sizes).
My friends and I have been there several times. Cozy, moden, outstanding service, quality food and drinks, good price too. Definitely should try their coffee and bubble tea. Lots of choices, unique flavor, green apple, mango, rose strawberry, peach, papaya, lychee, taro, kiwi, blueberry... you name it. Wireless Internet access ready. By the way, a modern and high class ballroom is just above it.
