Great Mexican food to go stand, for your lunch or early dinner! It is located on the corner of Howe and West Cordova Street.
I just had the Tortilla Soup and an Enchilada, the food was GREAT! The tortilla soup was as good as I've had in a long time and the enchilada was excellent and a very large serving. The enchilada came with salad, rice, and beans on the side. The enchilada was topped off with chipotle, sour cream and guacamole, more than I could eat and very very scrumptious! I paid $11 for everything, on it's own the soup was $3 and the Enchilada meal was $8, both great deals for the downtown and great food. I just love the new carts that Vancouver has licensed, after 10 years of only being able to get a hot dog from a stand, the streets are finally sizzling!!!
As someone whose lunchtime Mexican experiences are typically limited to Taco Time, this was such a great surprise! I have tried several things on the menu, but faves are the tortilla soup and the burrito salad bowls (chicken and beef are both delicious - I've never tried the pork one though). It's a great deal (bring cash to avoid the $0.50 service fees on cc/debit), great tasting fresh foods (the salad bowl comes with a healthy helping of beans, meat, Mexican rice, and salad) and will keep you full the rest of the day! As for extra guacamole though (if you are a big avocado fan) since they don't put very much on....(and it comes out of a squeeze bottle...which is a little off-putting).
