I picked this place just because I was in the area and craving some Chinese. I ordered the chicken fried rice with some chow mein and chicken balls. Their food was OK. not too greasy, not too dry. The chicken balls were actually great. The only thing that I can point out is the place could be a little cleaner. Well a lot cleaner. Specially the washrooms. All and all it was an OK experience but nothing special. If you are in the area and want some Chinese, i recommend you do some take out and that's it.
I`ve been to this restaurant on and off for the last few years since my uncle knows the manager here. Was there again last night and had a 2 course alaskan king crab, deep-fried crab claws, the crispy fried chicken, e-fu noodles and, last but not least, the pan fried sticky rice!!! All the dishes were pretty good and were very good portion wise. I also agree with one of the previous reviewers on the mango pudding desert - it was rubbery and lacked the mango flavour... it`s not made with mango puree but rather with a jello type powder mix.
Unfortunately, I can`t relly comment on the value since it was complements of my uncle. But if you had to go here and order one thing, it would have to be the pan fried sticky rice... it`s so divine! Each grain of rice is nicely coated and separate - not mushy and very flavourful... LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!!
Went here for a big family dinner. There were two tables, each with an 11 course meal. The food was pretty good. Nothing was particularly amazing. But the fish they served was pretty big and was really tasty. You could tell it was a really fresh fish too. They had plump crab balls with a lot of flavor too. I also enjoyed their crispy skin chicken with shrimp chips. The shrimp chips tasted a little stale, but the chicken was very moist and flavourful. Lobster was quite small, but good overall. Generally though, their portions are quite decent. I really like the E-fu noodles and the fried rice was pretty good as well. Their cold plate was pretty standard fare. On the flip side, their dessert was pretty horrible. The mango pudding was pretty rubbery and did not taste like mangoes at all. But it was still edible. Their shark fin soup wasn't that great either--I've had better. As well, I found the food overall, quite salty. Their washroom were just downright filthy though. They really need to clean their washrooms and they were a little slow to replace your plates. So you would often find yourself eating with a plate filled with bones and what not. The service was adequate at best. They serve your dishes and take your plate away and the food came out quite quickly. It was certainly efficient for this calibre of restaurant. I wasn't expecting anything really special in terms of service. Ambiance was alright. I wish the tables were a little bigger. They are barely able to fit in 10 people. The restaurant is also really, really loud. You can't even hear yourself think.
Overall, a pretty good restaurnt. Just don't go expecting something along the lines of Kirin or Red Star and you'll find be quite satisfied. Definitely worth a visit for their fish alone.
Not your congee noodle house. But more of a congee place that serves up plain congee with side dishes. it is open till 3 am. they have a full chinese menu. and have live seafood. but the overall cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired. the crowd is more of the late nite clubbing patrons. all the congee dishes are available from deep fried tofu to geoduck. you can also order the honey garlic ribs which is pretty good. they also have noodles and fried rice and more regular chinese restaurant items. but i have only been here for late nite congee. and have tried the omelettes, deep fired smelt, black bean clams, soysauce bbq duck, etc etc.. .
Everything that I have tried tasted good and have no complains. But beware if you're very into clean hygience.
Accord is a hole in the wall serving authentic "midnight snack" food -- congee, fried spicy tofu, fried minnows, fried smelt, soy sauce chow mein.
The food is cheap but the kitchen is kind of scary.
I can agree with above mentioned review. Straight forward late night Chinese fare. Great to hang out in. Cheap priced beer - Zhujiang beer - was a deal!
Service was fast and table were clean, overall it is a standard place with no real outstanding dishes.
Went there at 1am for midnight snack with a few of my friends and the food tasted ok in general but bit into a sand in my vegetable. the waiter that served us was rude and the kitchen did look very shady. I would suggest not to go to this resturant at night time unless you are close by and nothing else is open.
