Breakfast without having to choose!

Don't be fooled while you read the menu and think that you have to decide. You will not be hearing "Bacon or Sausage?" For me that is a major plus as I much prefer ANDs to ORs. For me it's not just the extra meat, breakfast comes with a variety of fruits as well. True they often mess up my French toast with a raw spot, but with such large heaping plates filled with warm peaches, bacon, sausage, pancakes, eggs, and loads of other breakfast yums, I am always pleased with my meals. It is truly one of my favorite places to break the fast.

OMG what a mess?

I do not know where to begin...

We arrived there during lunch and it was packed..we waited for a table and when one was available we were told to have a seat. It was part of a long table. We sat down and ordered..the people beside us left and there was a bigger group waiting..So they asked us to get up and wait for another smaller table. I was not happy but it was lunch and other people are hungry too so we moved to a smaller table.

We ordered the rare beef pho and grilled pork and springroll bun..It's not like it's our first time here so we were totally surprised to see get the pho luke warm, the springroll was oil drenched and soggy and the grilled pork was overcooked and chewey.

We asked the waitress to redo our order and they grunted at us. We finally got our order again and well well well to my disbelief they were the exact same as before we sent them back in.

By this time, the noodle in my soup was gross and the bun was beyond edible. It seems that in the last little while they hav ereally changed in food, service has always been meh but it's getting terrible. I almost forgot to mention how dirty the place looks too. It looks like they haven't cleaned it in months..

WHAT A TERRIBLE MESS..

My friend suggested we stop by this fairly new Vietnamese restaurant located near Yorkdale called Forget Me Not Cafe. I took my family there on Saturday was pleasantly surprised.

The restaurant is very mellow in decor, very cozy and warm and extremely clean. We were told to order the springrolls because it was really good. So we did and yes they were really crunchy on the outside but really soft and delicious filling. Really authentic as well.

We ordered an array of dishes from Pho, vermicelli soup and the crispy seafood noodle and they were all excellent. The Pho was really tasty and the portion was great. The soup remained hot until the end.

The grilled pork and shrimp on sugar was simply amazing, you can really taste the shrimp and not fillers.

My family loved the crispy noodle because we have never tasted a better one at any other restaurant.

We will be back next time we visit Yorkdale.

Great place to take the family. Service was great, good for children. Food was good but pricey.
The appetizers were excellent, the main dishes could be better. The children absolutely enjoyed the dining experience so definitely worth the money spent.

Although the wait for our food was a bit long but expected when the place was fairly busy. Will definitely return but never on a weekend.

I have had better food and far better service here. The soup had been better in the past, the noodle all stuck together and the meat didn't taste fresh. The springroll was really greasy and not crunchy at all. The portion was good for the money but since it wasn't good, a lot of it just meant more waste.

Definitely feels like the cook have changed. Although they did have really tasty milkshake, that hasn't changed.

I ordered the "106 Hot and Sour Soup" and the "1013 Scallops and Salted Pork Fried Rice"

- Two containers arrived for the medium sized hot and sour soup. It was ok but too vinegary and we threw out the second container.
- The fried rice had some pieces of BBQ pork & many pieces of BBQ pork fat. Literally, chunks of plain white fat, with a few smaller pieces of chinese sausage and scallops. It didn't match what we expected from the title. BBQ pork isn't the same as salted pork. It was one of the oiliest fried rice I'd ever received. The spoon used to stir the rice was dripping with oil. It was so gross.

I'll never order from here again. This is supposed to be food.. edible food.

Jimmy The Greek4841 Yonge Street, Toronto
Worst Jimmy the Greek location out of all - avoid at all cost
By rickytan85 of Toronto (1 Review)
Submitted Monday, August 26, 2013 - 12:13pm [Dine in]

I have enjoyed jimmy the greek since I first landed in Canada, back in 1998. At the time, the franchise weren't as popular as today with less of stores than seen today. Nonetheless, I was always a happy customer for I knew that whenever I order the Chicken souvlaki, it would always satisfy me both in quantity and quality of the food.

I have almost always had chosen Jimmy the Greek when it came to food selection at food courts and there are many timea that I drove to food courts just to have a souvlaki dinner meal.

Then I came across the location at Yonge and Sheppard, one inside the Sheppard centre - I Ordered the same food expecting same quality and quantity that I would always get from other locations across canada, and believe me I have been to more different locations than most would imagine.

The chicken portion - which was always in huge chunk, thr main portion of the meal, was approximately half the size I would normally get. I am not exaggerating - At first, I thought this was just a bad random selection of the skewer that perhaps had unfortunate event to somehow skew small meat than the rest.

Then I noticed the tzatziki on the meat - This was unusually watery, the thick texture of the sauce that it meant to be nowhere to be found and with taste that seemed only mild as if the mixture had added water in excess unnecessarily.

It had unusually big portion of rice, and potato wedges that were too small to be called "wedges".

Overall, the meal had left me wanting for more food once I was done as i was not full, so contrary to how my experience always was with jimmy the greek.

I thought that this was just a bad luck and although I felt very much betrayed, I assured myself and thought that next time this wouldn't happen.

I stopped going to this location for a while but had gone to other locations and received the quantity that I expected to get from Jimmy the greek to my satisfaction.

Surely enough, I was once again at yonge and sheppard location again. This time I was more conscious because of the past experience and because I had received bigger portions elsewhere so I ordered the meal.

Surely enough, this was the same disappoonting quantity and quality of meal that left me bitter towards the brand for the first time - and I could not just let this pass as I love Jimmy the Greek.

You can consider this an official compaint from a loyal customer. Had I not cared about Your food, I wouldn't bother writing this email after my work hours. If this location that is devaluing your brand is allowed to let continue this way, you will lose customers and other franchise locations will surely suffer as well due to brand damage. I don't know what your procedures are towards this type of issue but please either have their standard raised with portions and quality and not have them short change customera this way. It is revolting that they cut the meat in half the portion for the sake of their profit.

Thank you.

Sunset Grill2610 Weston Rd, Toronto
worst service everrrr

There was only one waitress, 3 groups of us came in at the same time and she told us all to sit where we want. I waited 30minutes for a menu and while i waited she was going to other tables taking there order and even going back to them asking how there food was. Not once did she come back afterwards to our table to ask how the food was. Maybe shes racist, or intimidated, who knows. She didnt voluntarily come over to ask for drink or coffee refills. We had to ask her for refills when she was at the table beside us taking up plates. She didnt seem like she wanted to wrk with us at all.. she deserves no tip and if i could reduce the total cost based on her service, i would have. This sunset grill at weston rd and 401 just opened and should not have poor service like this. Also, we had to get salt and pepper from the table behind us because ours had none and our ketchup bottle was empty. Now we been waiting forever for the bill. She needs to be way more attentitive to customers in the store because she is like the face of the company, first we see when we come in and last impression we leave with. This sunset grill needs to hire employees for specific roles and not have one person doing waitressing, seating, and cash and also hire more employees who can multi task in a timely manner, and have a genuine love for this job as well as retrain this employee on customer service and how to leave a positive impression for this company.

Horrible all round

My buddy and I ordered the the rice+wings combo and the Roti respectively.

My buddy's Rice had this toxic taste and my Roti tasted sour. I went to the owner (a Hong Kong man with glasses) and informed him politely that the food wasn't to our likely and that we would like a refund. He rolled his eyes at me and pushed one of his employees at me. The employee was flustered and tried to open the cash register to give me my refund when the owner scolded her in Cantonese and said that they don't give refunds, only exchange.

By this point, I lost my patience and responded in their language that I didn't want an exchange, since I've lost my appetite. The Owner gave this huge sigh and said that I already ate some of the food, so he can't refund the full price to me. WHAT THE HELL?!?! I honestly wanted to punch him right there and then.

I then bluffed that I would inform the hospital that they were serving rotten food in an health care environment and he did a complete 180 attitude turn and gave me my money and apologized.

Still, to any of you who go to the Toronto Western Hospital, avoid this place all you can. The pizza place next to the Wing Machine is also owned by the same owner, so I'd avoid that place too.

It's people like him that give a bad name to Chinese men. I feel sorry for the employee working for him though, he didn't look like he respects his employees at all.

Their customer service and food were the worst. I ordered party tray F from their takeout menu. The rice was undercooked and the fish were stale. I called them and they gave me an attitude on the phone right away and said I did not eat the sushi fast enough which was why the rice turned hard. I ordered for pickup at 5:15. I picked it up at 5:30. We ate them at 7 without refrigerating the tray. Rice is my daily main dish. I think I know how undercooked rice tastes. The restaurant's quality has gone down dramatically. In general it is just horrible.

The ladies Woking there are very rude and doesn't know how to serve customer. They talk to customer like there are giving free pizza. This pizza store is so cheap they don't want to give you napkin until you ask them and when I am asking for extra bag for 2 slice they shows the attitude.

Fries were stail: not fresh but not the worst
Vegi Burger was same stail and harden, vegi pattie has been sitting clearly
What's sad is if you are at a drive threw at 130 in the morning you are clearly hungry and tired.
Complete disrespect to serve a stain vegi pattie.
Turns my stomach.
This may be the last time I go there threw drive threw it is a headache to even go back out at this out after discovery.
It's not the first I should say shame on me but this is just too much...
I wouldn't mind waiting, if you wouldn't eat I yourself.. Why serve it?
No empathy. High level of disrespect.
It's a vegi burger clearly I care on some level what I'm eating...

I eat there at least once a week. I try different things each time and everything is delicious.
The Calamari is the best that I've had anywhere.
The Lemon chicken is delicious. The sauce is neither too tart nor too sweet.
The spicy chicken and chicken wings are divine.
There is a lunch buffet that can't be beat.
If you want delicious food at a very reasonable price then I highly recommend that you visit Bamboo Buddah and try their food.

I ordered the pan-fried pork buns from the Dim Sum menu, and a $10 plate of green beans off of the regular menu. The green beans were over-salted and very roasted-garlic-y. The pan fried pork bun were bland, contained miniscule amounts of pork, and took 25 minutes to get to my table.

The couple seated next to me enjoyed the soup dumplings but were laughing about how odd and disappointing their shu mai and other dishes were.

My husband and I went to Bumpkin's for our anniversary. The restaurant is cozy with a fireplace and linen tablecloths and napkins. The menu has something for everyone and the prices are very good. I had the scallops which were a little smaller than I hoped for but very good. My husband had the pork tenderloin, which was cut in scallopini fashion and delicious. The calamari appetizer is grilled calamari slices without any of the usual breading, and was perfectly done.
