The Pizza here is awesome, absolutely love the crust! I ordered specialty pizza #16 and the eggplant was cooked right and went so well with the goat cheese!
I just wanted to say that my family always go there during the evening on Fridays and Saturdays. I must say the food is delightful.
The ambience is next to perfection with 40 plus televisions surrounding you. The staff always give us a little education on the smoke bbq. That`s always pleasant. ( I pretty much know a thing or two on smoke bbq now lololol).
Anyhow, just wanted to keep everyone in on the loop about what`s hot in the east end. Keep up the great work!!!!
Ok, nice looking place but no atmosphere and terrible service.
My girlfriend thought her food was cold and not what she ordered but they were not interested in listening at all. Even after we explained our issue to the manager, there was nothing done to help us or deal with us at all. Even though it was uneatable, they would not discount our bill.
Will never return.
I just tried the Concourse restaurant, at Keele and Dundas, and I have to say it was the absolute worst I have ever had.
First of all the clubhouse sandwich was made incorrectly. It is was supposed to be made with turkey, not chicken. Secondly, the "grilled" chicken was greasy. It was so bad, I could see it. I ended up taking it off the sandwich, and blotting it with a napkin.
Also, the coffee was cold, so instead of making a fresh pot like a normal restaurant, she warmed it up in the microwave, no lie. That is something you do at home, not in a restaurant!
In addition to that, someone was smoking in the back. I could smell it, and it was gross.
In Toronto, it is illegal to smoke in restaurants. I complained, and she tried to tell me that it was coming in from outside. The doors were closed, and besides, I saw someone walking around back there with a lighted cigarette.
As a previous employee (it was my first job), I am well aware of the excellent training and standards McDonalds - as a franchise - has.
In this store's particular case, I feel it has to be the WORST McDonalds store in Ontario. I'm not kidding.
This evening I ordered some food, and I noticed 2 staff members who were supposed to be working the front yelling to each other and the kitchen staff, saying, "Yo! Make that burger fast man." or " Yo, make that coffee." or "Relax, the fries just came up"...
Further - there were about 4 people in line waiting to be served, however, there was a hold up in the kitchen and so ALL 3 of the staff at the front of the store stood around waiting on food instead of continuing serving customers. This store is a brilliant example of how NOT to manage a restaurant, how customer service is NOT a priority and lastly, professionalism must be an unknown concept.
The last thing I want to hear when I'm ordering a burger, is a male kitchen worker singing to a female staff member "Ohh girl how dirty are you? aren't you dirty?" I'm seriously disappointed and will not return to this location ever again.
1) Prices don't match their locally distrbuted flyer, they'll only honor it if you prove it to them. At this point you're likely going to be yelled at.
2) Regardless of what the ad says, dipping sauces are not included.
3) If you decide to pay exra for the dipping sauce(s), you as a customer have no right to decide which dipping sauces they'll give you, HOW DARE YOU!
4) Don't order a salad of veggie tray, they are very obviously quite old.
5) Pizza is OK, but you wonder about the freshness of their ingredients, see #4 above.
6) Cheapest pizza around, in more ways than one.
This Starbucks location has a problem with theft and have had for quite some time. There have been many things stolen from this location - cell phones, laptops etc. Unfortunately this is an ongoing problem with no resolution or signs posted to warn patrons of this problem. If you value your belongings, never leave them unattended even to go to the counter.
I recommend going here if you like being verbally slapped in the face and having your wallet emptied by insulting owners (who also think it's acceptable to serve burnt garlic bread with no garlic to take out customers)!
After ordering take-out I noticed they charged us the regular menu prices, despite the fact their website posts a cheaper menu for takeout. I called to discuss the matter and the person who answered the phone was SO RUDE! He blurted "the online prices don't have to be up-to-date" and unapologetically said they are changing the menu prices. I mentioned that their website doesn't state the prices are subject to change or even that it's being updated. He got quite angry with me and yelled "it doesn't have to be correct" and that it's impossible to change the website overnight! After I mentioned this is misrepresentation, he told me I was dumb and HUNG UP ON me!
This is a problem that could have been solved if he had simply offered to refund us this difference (of only $6), however, it's obvious he doesn't care what his customers think and is too lazy to update his website. You know, if that's how he talks to his customers I would dread to imagine how he treats his staff. The poor people probably dream of spitting in the food just to get fired!
great spot for good italian food, pizza is good , pasta very good , a little loud, service nice , young crowd of good looking men!
wine selection is decent , located down an alley , downstairs , but nicely decorated , bread was stale but they brought fresh ,

I was told about this place by friends, but I am always sceptical about trying new places. Last Friday I was invited for lunch by office friends and we went to Mama Mia. To resume, I had the best empanadas of my life. I had some empanadas before; but these are quite different, they are so fresh and tasty. I was very impressed and I talked to the owner, and the secret is everything is made from scratch every day, no artificial or chemicals flavours added. The owner said “ My two mother’s recipe. My Mother and Mother Nature.”
My friends had some burritos and quesadillas and they were also very impressed.
The sandwiches are amazing, artisan bread, grilled steak, guacamole and grilled cheaese WOW, WOW,WOW,
don't forget the stone ground home made salsa.
We had some fresh – hot churros stuffed with generous dulce de leche for dessert ... amazing, simply spectacular!!
The place is beautiful, cozy, and very clean, service is great and of course the best Latin music is always playing...
I love this restaurant! Sit out on the patio on a hot day and have a Li Pecuri and a Moretti or inside in winter and enjoy a heart-warming pasta and a glass of wine.. The atmosphere is upbeat and fun and the place has great character. Desserts: to die for.
The service is extremely poor for a non-regular customer. I'd say even biased. Kitchen is only open to regulars. (Wanted to order some fries, oblivious bartender informed me that kitchen is closed. Within an hour the place was filled with regulars and the kitchen was cooking full steam ahead). Extremely poor approach of attracting new clientele. Hard liqueur is watered down. I've intentionally tried 3 different shots - all watered down. How much of that water do I have to drink to become a regular customer and receive an even average service???
REGULARS - is that what you drink?
POTENTIALLY NEW CUSTOMERS - STAY AWAY or be disappointed.
Will not spend another penny in there, let alone recommend that rat hole to my colleagues.
MINUS TEN OUT OF FIVE STARS - great accomplishment. If the regulars are happy, I guess they get tipsy from drinking tap water. (Doubt the management even filters that water)
My family and I just love to eat here. It's a weekly ritual sometimes we order twice in a week. They have the best Chick Fried Rice and BBQ Wings! The downside to this place is that they are a bit over priced. Come on 1.95 for one spring roll or 1.35 for one egg roll; to over priced. Maybe it's the quality your paying for if so the fried rice and wings are worth it.
I had written a while back and was contacted by a rep the next day, which was a quick response my awareness to the fact the menu had changed form 2 sides with the entree to one only included.
Your response was that it was a corporate change to keep up with The Keg.

Saturday evening Oct 29/11,6pm, I treated 10 of us for my fathers 82 birthday, 2 waitresses to our table.
We all order drinks,than our food,all is fine.
first the salads,everyone got there's ,forgot mine, no problem.
mains:2 filets,2 ribs,2 steaks, appetizers.
scallops app. used to be six for$12 than 5 now 4 pieces with over cooked bacon times 2.
Mains:2 filets incorrectly cooked with the wrong sides,back to the kitchen and they now have to wait while we eat,also to mention the two filet migons are much smaller now.
Mains: two steaks on the menu don't say they are they 14oz anymore,because they are not,yet the $32+ cost is the same,both baked potatoes large but over cooked, and my regular steak was much smaller as I indicted which now also overcooked but edible.
Mains:two Ribs,Prime rib and Pastas were fantastic.
Main:fish was not to my mothers liking but was mostly her fault for trying something new,but the staff was very accommodating to her in making her something new and making sure she was happy.
In the intern ordering additional drinks took over 15 mins(bar was short staffed).
I enjoy going out and treating my friends,Canyon Creek, The Keg. Milestones, Baton Rouge and a little one by far has the best selection called The Pickle Barrel are little favs.
I believe you as a cooperation are now more concerned about the bottom line than quality that you were known for, otherwise a smart CEO would not make these changes even though subtle over the years.
I regret that my Christmas group of 25-30 will not be hear.
We were a group of 4 and we dined on Saturday for dinner. This is a full service south indian restaurant with fine dine in, take out, catering, LLBO and for small partys. The place was busy but we were very comfortable with the service. We ordered idlis, vadas and couple of drinks to start with. Later we ordered rava masala dosa, biryani, uthapam and thali. Towards the end we ordered carrot halwa and rava kesari. The sweets were yummy. Food was very tasty and fresh. The quantity was filling and the prices are very reasonable. They served the entire order in less than 10 minutes. The waiter came to our table thrice to check if everything was ok. We will definitely visit the place again this weekend and would highly recommend to all of you who value service and quality for the money spent.
We had an excellent time at the Grand. My guests are still calling in with praises. Our event was flawlessly executed. Management took good care of all the little details and the staff was professional and courteous. Little details were looked after and to top it all off the food was amazing. It was also presented very nicely and that extra touch was like the cherry on the cake. I highly recommend this place.
My nephews sweet 16 birthday was celebrated here a few months ago. The Banquet hall was very elegant and well lit. Little things were meticulously taken care of and we all enjoyed the party. The staff took care of everything. Food was done just right, served piping hot and on time. The staff and management took good care of us and even followed up after the event to make sure everyone left happy. My brother was impressed and this has become our favourite venue for all big family events. My heartfelt thanks to the staff.
I visited India's Flavor on a Friday evening. It was a wonderful atmosphere with excellent service. The food was delicious. The price is reasonable, especially considering all of the food quality/quantity. This restaurant is by far the cleanest out of all the Indian restaurants I have been to so far. I would definitely recommend this restaurant as you won't be disappointed!
Burger joints are all the rage in Toronto these days, but this one is doing it right. Focusing on a quality burger and great homemade add-ons makes this one of the best burgers I have had in recent times.
They have a number of specialty burgers, or you can go with the classic - a 7 ounce, local, naturally raised beef burger. (They also have chicken and veggie!). It's cooked on a wood fired grill, and then you get to pick from a wide selection of condiments, sauces and add-ons. Put it all together and it's a WOW - Great Burger.
Some of the best sweet potato fries I've ever had as well.
Service is decent, you get your burger efficiently, even when it is busy, which it often is in the evening. Don't expect much hand holding :)
Not a big place, but plenty of seating. The "closeness" of the interior adds to the personality of the place. Nice patio too. Our one complaint was that the patio was close to the garbage bins and on the hot summer day the odor was a bit strong - a hard situation to avoid for small urban restaurants.
This is now my go-to burger place in Toronto. I love having it in my neighborhood.
My boyfriend and I visited this restaurant for the first time with great excitement since we knew it was a newly opened location.
Much to our great disappointment, everything that could have gone wrong, did. When we first walked in, the hostess sat us right away and we were the only table in the dining room (there were 10-20 people in the bar side of the restaurant). At this point I thought, "This is going to be great! It will be fairly quiet with not a ton of noise pollution, we'll get served right away and our server will give us impeccable service because we're her only table!"
Unfortunately and much to my surprise, everything started going downhill from there. Our server, Amy took our drink orders but took around 5 minutes to get our drinks to us. I found a small fruit fly hovering around my boyfriend while we were looking at our menus but thought nothing of it. When our server came to take our orders, he ordered a pizza and I ordered a pasta dish. I knew I would have to wait a little longer because I had ordered a baked pasta dish. When our meals came, my boyfriend was just about to dig into his pizza when I discovered that there was an insect baked into the top of the dish my pasta came in. I was thoroughly disgusted as this meant the fly was on the dish before it went into the oven.
After the server walked by (not to ask how our meals were, but because she was on her way to the kitchen or the bar I'm not sure), I pointed out the insect and paused to see how she would react. She did not even bat an eyelash or make any attempt to apologize on the restaurant's behalf. Nor did she offer to bring me another dish for free or to give us a discount. I said that I would share my boyfriend's dish at this point. I was even more frustrated that at no point after this incident did a manager come by to offer his/her apologies either. Luckily there were no problems with the pizza, and when it came time for the end of the meal, our server again was nowhere to be found. We had to wait another 10 minutes to flag her down and ask for our bill. When she brought the bill to us, there were two of the signature Boston Pizza mints with the bill. Much to my boyfriend's disgust, it looked like a rat or mouse had chewed through one of the mints as it had been slightly opened. This was just the icing on the cake.
I have had pleasurable experiences at other Boston Pizza locations in the past, but needless to say I will not be visiting THIS location again.
