I've been to Spice Route a few times and every time it has been a lovely dinning experience. The servers are helpful and knowledgeable about the menu, and have helped me picked some delicious dishes I wouldn't normally try. The food is great! My favorite would be the wasabi crusted shrimp and the pot stickers. The prices are very reasonable for a king west restaurant! love the room, the decor and the bathrooms! YOU MUST CHECK OUT THE BATHROOMS! Great place for after work drinks!
I've been to Spice Route for about 4 times now and it's one of the places that where I could go again and again and not complain at all about it.
Great atmosphere and decor...one thing I found really creative was that during nighttime, their walls have candles in each "cubbie hole" (right wall at the reception area + wall at the back in the lounge area) BUT during the day (went during lunch hrs one time), they don't just leave the candles unlit or the holes empty, they put oranges in each one instead. I found that interesting because it gives off the same kind of colour tone (orangy-ish) during the night and day. Trivial but cool.
I enjoyed the food, the drinks are priced accordingly and it feels relaxing just sitting at a table that overlooks the bar and the tables below.
For those of you that haven't been - definitely worth a go!! :)
