This is our preferred place to eat at. One of our favorites. Its well priced and great food. They don't keep you waiting and they treat you good. This is a great place to bring a group of people and to share all different types of food. The staff is friendly and always ask if you need anything

We had never been here before... Ordered food to go.. Gave us the wrong order and the few things we had that we did ask for we're tasteless and fatty! When asked for our money back the women told us theanager was not in... Repeatedly. My bank was gracious enough to eat the charge! Never again will I go to that place!

My work partner and I had chicken donairs from here. They were terrible. Thing is... They had to know they were loading it with burnt chicken. They fell apart on the first few bites, pitas were dry and old. I can't speak for the rest of the menu, but my feet surely won't step into that place again. Makes me wonder how on earth they have got good reviews. It was like eating the burnt bits off the grill. Yuk. Really.

Went here after talking to a person about decent Fillipino food. So I thought we give it a try. So the better half and the kids came along. The food is premade and you pick the dishes you like along with rice. 2 dishes and rice for $8.50. The lady behind the counter was nice enough to let me sample some dishes as it was the first time I went to a Fillipino restaurant. They were friendly and patience with our kids having a hissy fit at times. Overall the experience was good. The food itself was not too bad. The fan favorites are solid but next tme I go to a Fillipino restaurant I am bring my buddy to tell me exactly what I am eating. Decent place, sketchy area.

I've eaten there a number of times and loved every minute of it. I've been there enough times that the employees actually know me by name now which is awesome to hear for a chain restaurant. That kind of thing doesn't happen anymore. At least not that I know of. I will come back here again and again as I continue to have amazing service! Friday and Saturday nights are always busy so I like to head out a little earlier but its totally worth the wait.

The atmosphere and flow of the restaurant was promising but the experience went downhill after that. Although the server seemed friendly and knowledgeable we were served Beer on tap that was completely flat and tasteless. When we decided to complain about the beer, our server confessed that the CO2 was not working properly that day. Why would you serve the beer then? We proceeded to order the best wine from the sub-par wine list which was the highlight of our dining experience. The appetizer platter was lacking identity - calamari was not bad but chicken strips and cocktail shrimp drenched in cocktail sauce left us completely confused. I ordered the moussaka (Which I'm thinking has to be good...how can you go wrong with mashed potatoes, bechemel sauce, ground beef and eggplant?). I would say it was 75% ground beef, 2% eggplant. Pretty much like eating shepherd's pie. The dinner special - chicken and tiger prawn Souvlaki was nothing to write home about. And last but not least, the rice was, without a doubt, minute rice. Hard and completely tasteless. And, the potatoes were aweful! So disappointing because we love greek potatoes - who doesn't?! Do yourself a favour and spend your money somewhere else.

This place is garbage. I took my boyfriend there after work and the food was disgusting. Meat was greasy, so greasy that it went through the bun. Fries were okay. Don't waste your time and money here. And the price is too high for such low quality stuff. Four thumbs down from us!

Nihari and Paye' - Best in the town

It took me 6 weeks from landing in Canada to find a place where I can have my favourite food that is Nihari. We ordered one plate of Nihari and one plate of Paye' with Naan. Both were absolutely excellent. We went for the second time and could not order or try anything else and that time again, it was excellent, the best that you can think of. The restaurant has enough seating capacity so you will not feel like sitting in packed environment. It seems to be a family owned and run restaurant and staff is polite and very well mannered. Nihari cost $6 and Paye' $7 so the charges are very reasonable. I will recommend this restaurant to everyone who likes traditional Pakistani food.

WORST pizza i have ever had in my entire life. I will never order from this restaurant again. They sent me a ceasar salad that was almost ALL bloody onions. Huge, HUGE, chunks of onion. It was disgusting, i could barely eat anything they sent. Waste of money. If I could get my $$ back I would. seriously. I ate like one piece of pizza. lol

I travel a lot on business and pho is the comfort food that keeps me going on the road. It's quick, relatively healthy, expense account friendly, and I can get it to go if I have worked piled up at the hotel. I've got my favorite pho shops staked out in every city...except here at home in the lower mainland! I'd given up trying to find a decent place south of the Fraser. When my wife said "I've got to take you to this new place I've found", my expectations were pretty low but I'm always game to try a new place.

I was more than pleasantly surprised. Chopsticks on Pho is definitely not your seedy Kingsway gang-banger hang-out serving oleaginous broth filled with parts of animals that have no business in my belly. If it weren't for the menu, you'd not instantly guess this was an Asian restaurant. It looks more like a hip urban bistro, and the other reviews here that mention "zen-like" are pretty much spot on - it's trendy but spare, with clean lines, open spaces and muted colours. Rather peaceful and spotlessly clean.

The menu is also fairly spare but should be considered a work in progress. A couple of items have been added since we started coming here - like chicken pho. The management is definitely open to feedback here. The pho itself is very solid - not as quite as savory as I would like but showing a lot of attention to detail. The vermicelli is never overcooked, the broth is never oily, the meet - whether beef or chicken - always has the fat trimmed off, and the sprouts and basil are fresh and plentiful. Is if more expensive than Kingsway? Yes, but it really isn't competing with other pho shops so much as it is with Cactus Club, Milestones, etc. I'm happily paying the extra dollar or two for the decor, food quality, service and CLEANLINESS.

A final word about the staff: I've never met a friendlier owner! He personally greets you by name when you come in and thanks you when you leave. It's the perfect final touch to an enjoyable dining experience.

Went there with my friends and it was a really good food! Needs to improve with the decoration and needs a liquor licence for sure as I missed my Corona beer with a real mexican food.
The restaurant is new and looks really clean the stuff is very friendly. They have a cake that is really good and the mexican drinks made from scratch such as Horchata and Jamaica they are really good!.

Thai By Thai Restaurant9164 120th Street, #102, Surrey
My favorite Thai restaurant so far, besides SalaThai on Burrard!

We ordered take out from Thai by Thai. Our favourite Thai restaurant is on Burrard street. We have tried numerous Thai restaurants closer to our house in Surrey and none of them have come close. The food at Thai by Thai was delicious! I am very picky when it comes to the chicken satays. Most places use low quality, rubbery chicken. These satays were great! We ordered our dishes medium spice, and I thought the heat of the food was definitely a "medium" spice level. Also, the young guy working there was very friendly when we picked up our food. We will definitely eat here again!

Came here today with a friend of mine. Upon arriving, w e were seated immediatly, I really liked our waitress. She was friendly and efficient and really made us feel very welcomed in the restaurant and was very knowledgeable as well.

Anyhow, I ordered a double cheeseburger and fries and my friend ordered french toast. Our food arrived about 10-15 minutes later. I must say, my double burger was *HUGE* and it was good, but not great. it lacked a little bit of flavour, but wasn't too bad. The fries on the other hand was a poor excuse, I mean WTF? they tasted terrible and dry. there were even some corner fries on the plate (please....I have only seen that at one other restaurant before, and maybe a few times at Wendy's but not in years) my beverage (Strawberry Fruitopia) was excellent though. I tried some of my friends french toast and it tasted good.

I thought the service was the best part, As I said, my burger wasn't bad, but I definatly have had better at many other restaurants.

I'll probably be back becaue of the service, but only if they have pasta to try

Favorite Thai restaurant

I came upon some reviews here while trying to search for Sabai Thai as I was going to order some food for takeout. I have never submitted a review but felt compelled to do it now. First off before I continue I have actually been to Thailand...three times. I have also dined at at least three other Thai restaurants.
Sabai Thai is not only good food, the ladies running it know how to cook authentic Thai food. Believe me I know. I came back three years ago from Thailand and was disappointed with the choices in Thai restaurants when I stumbled on to this restaurant. I was pleasantly surprised. The only thing I could suggest in order to make it more authentic is to ask for it to be a little spicy. This is easy to do when ordering. The tea they serve is also excellent. I don't know where they get it but it is very good and very authentic. The food may be slightly over priced but don't let that dissuade you. I would suggest seriously giving this restaurant a try.
Very highly recommended from someone that has actually been in Thailand.

Four of us ate here the other night and it was delicious. Two of us are vegan and the restaurant was very helpful and accommodating. The food had good complex flavors and it was a big hit with all of us. We will definitely eat here again. We had the eggplant bharta, chickpea masala, roti, some delicious cauliflower potato dish and a few appies. Our friends also had the butter chicken and a couple of other dishes and they also really enjoyed their dishes. The owner who came over to our table was also SUPER nice! Thanks!

Tried the place out for the lunch special. I had the curry chiken on rice and it came with a good amount of fresh vegitables and a thick currey sauce, The owner is a very nice guy and you feel like coming back to try some of the other items on the menu. You can tell he uses good fresh ingrediants. My only issue was that it was a tad on the salty side so next time I'll ask if he can tone that down a bit. The decor is nothing special but you can't help but feel the lunch special price and quality more than made up for it.
