Wings is more than just a NY style wing place with a wide combination of wings and sauces. We are also a Sports bar, complete with a full menu featuring everything from salads to appetizers to burgers and a variety of pasta dishes. All served in a relaxing, comfortable atmosphere where people like to hang out with friends, watch their favorite game on one of the many TVs and munch on some great wings.
I went for lunch last week with my 5 year old.
Server greeted us (first customers of the day) like we were interupting her.
My son ordered the burger with "a mountain of fries" he was served a bun and a slab of meat inside a soup bowl with a few cold french fries. (and we were the first customers - so how did they get cold fries???)
I ordered the chicken wing dinner, it arrived with a bit of a noxious odor, the rice was several days old, and the chicken wings were below mediocre.
I would not go back.
My buddies and me hit this place every Sunday because they have cheap wings and we're all going to school. They offer a good run of different flavors - I like the Orange Ginger and Sweet Chili Heat - but when they say that they're ultra-stupid-hot-wings are hot, they are not kidding I can tell you that. We usually get an order of ten for the table and there's five of us and we usually can get through one each. They're that hot!
The other flavors are still real good and their servers are cute and quick, which is important when you're dying from trying to eat three of their stupidly hot wings (I'm talking about you, Dan!). The value is impossible to beat and it's a really good place to just chill and watch the game while downing some beer with the boys.
I waited 45 minutes for a table. Looking around there were PLENTY of open tables available. About 8 I counted.
When inquiring as to why I couldn't be seated at any one of those tables and had to wait 45 minutes for the 3 people ahead of me to be seated I was told that the servers need time to get to the other tables first.
Apparently they need about 10 minutes between seating tables so they can "get to everyone".
Ok, if your servers are that incompetant that they can't serve more than one table at a time, GET NEW ONES! Any other pub or restaraunt that is seat yourself has servers who are capable of serving their entire section even if they all sit down at once. It's what the job entails. It's called time management. I know, because I work in a pub and grill nearby and it gets VERY busy.
It's easy: go to one table, take their drink order, go to the next, take theirs and so on and so forth, then go to your computer, punch it all in and when the bartender finishes making them, take them all out at one time on those handy trays to your tables. Then you do the same with food orders.
And for gods sake quality check once in a while. I didn't have my server come back to my table one single time. She took the orders, then some guy brought my food and i didn't see her again until I got my bill.
This place is a joke, and I hope their servers never go on to work somewhere that doesn't have hostesses...they'll cry.
we're a party of 7 on a tuesday... we get there at 8 and are asked by the hostess if we'll be done by 9... probably not but maybe?
our server is pretty good, takes our drink orders right away but doesn't take our food order for a half hour! we're not going to be done by 9.
the food arrives and it's wonderful! love the wings!
it's 9:30 and we've got empty plates and glasses infront of us when the hostess comes up to us and says (and i quote) "when you guys came in you said you'd be done by 9. i have a large party waiting. are you leaving or can you move?" how rude!! we were waiting for our bills anyways so we quickly paid to get out of there.
i'd go back for the food but not the hostess.
I went to wings with some friends from work. I arrived 30 minutes after everyone else. They ordered as soon as they got in, and were told it would take 45 minutes to get their food because there was one large party that night.
A little bit slow is understandable, but 45 minutes is too long for a pub-type environment. I also did not appreciate the sour attitude of our server.
When the food finally arrived it was very good. The kitchen staff make quality food. I split an appetizer platter and it was great: calimari, wings, bread, nachos. Superb.
Thumbs up for the quality of food, thumbs down for the serving staff
I have been to this restaurant twice, and I thought it was fantastic. The food was very good, well priced, original, and I can't wait to go back and try the wings. Fast service too!! I thought our server was fantastic both times, especially our last visit when the restaurant was very busy because of a pay-per-view game (very happy that they show these). If you are looking for a quiet restaurant, do not come here. The music was borderline loud, but not when compared to other sports pubs. Good atmosphere and happy clientele. Being a newcomer to Surrey (which is not the terrible place that some people say it is), it is nice to have somthing so nice close to home.
