Favorite weekly sushi spot

I often have the cravings for sushi during the week whether alone, with friends, or just hanging out with my girlfriend. Whenever said cravings arise I head to one place to satisfy them, Tobiko Sushi. I have been going here since it first opened and it has come a long way since then. It is now a nicely decorated small restaraunt with a wide variety of food beyond just typical sushi. Even then they take it another notch up by designing their own sushi rolls to make this place unique. Another reason I like Tobiko sushi, despite it is close to my house, is the fact that it has pretty comparable food to many of the more expensive sushi restaraunts say downtown, yet at a price that wont leave you with an empty wallet after. The staff are always friendly and the place is clean. I've never had a mixup with my order and have always had a good experience when visiting. This is by far my favorite sushi place to go to.

My favourite sushi place

If you are a sushi lover, this is the place to go. I'm not talking about the kind that just eats california rolls, i'm talking about specialty roll sushi lover. I love specialty rolls, and this is the place to go if that's what you are looking for. My favourites are golden california (california roll with salmon sashimi on top with orange sauce drizzled), lemon tree roll, dragon roll, and super tiger roll. I always reccommend this place to family and friends. It's way better than sushi train in my opinion. Great eat in surrey I'm a frequent customer.

Good Neighborhood Sushi

After noticing this small sushi restaurant right by my new dentist, I decided to pick up a menu to bring home and show my husband. He was in the mood for sushi the next day and went on his own while my son and I were gallavanting in downtown Vancouver and eating lunch at Momo's Sushi. He was very impressed and took photos in order to tempt me and his twitter followers to visit. There were some creative rolls which we have been ordering at other sushi restaurants for awhile now and at prices which seem to reflect what you get. He took me there for lunch today with my son & his friend and I noticed they had a big variety of menu items, some of which were quite different. There were several specials of the day, which also had bubble tea included, and were a little different than your normal california roll type items. They had several deep fried rolls as well as all your standard rolls and the waitress was happy to explain them all. It's a small comfortable place where you can drop by and eat alone or with friends & family. It's not gourmet sushi & sashimi but terrific for a quick sushi fix and we'll soon find out what the sushi pizza photo displayed on the wall is.

I always visit this place when I'm in the area. Lots of variety, fresh and young. Creative rolls (my fav is the Sexy Dragon), well seasoned food, fast service and a huge turnover of orders (so you know the food is fresh). They also have a bit of Izakaya style food on the menu that I'm dying to try...

Awesome Sushi Rolls

If you are looking for some sushi rolls with nice flavor and pretty presentation without paying an arm and a leg, this is the place to go in Surrey. My favorite A la carte sushi place. The ingredients are fresh and the staff is friendly. They can be pretty busy at times. They have periodic draws for customers. The top prize for the most recent draw is a TV. My friend won a bottle of red wine and a pair of wine glasses. I don't know any other restaurant that does this. Try it, you won't regret it.

Great Local Sushi

I have tried this restaurant several times, both for eat-in and take-out. The food is very good, the sushi is fresh and the portion sizes are good. Two people can easily have dinner for $20. The restaurant decor is very simple, we were there on a monday night and the place was busy (probably 1/2 full) and there were quite a few people picking up take out orders. Great neighborhood place for good food.

Good but not great

Having frequented many sushi restaurants around greater Vancouver I was hoping to find some great sushi close to home. Tobiko's food was acceptable. Their sashimi was fresh but lacked flavour, the rolls were average size and were of acceptable quality. I did not try the "kitchen" food but there was a large selection of tempoura's and meats. I would eat here again, however, I am still looking for some good sushi close to home.
